President’s Update
Clay Vogt, Maries County Bank President/CEO
As 2012 comes to a close, it is once again time for our banking family to say “Thank You” to our
wonderful customers for another successful year. You have put your trust in us and we continue to
take our responsibilities to you seriously in providing quality and efficient banking products and
services. This ideology has brought us to our two newest endeavors for the Maries County Bank
and the branches.
The first is the completion of our newest branch facility, The Community Bank of St. James.
Tim Seams, our local Branch President, heads a local staff with many years of experience and local
ties to the community. From our humble beginnings in the modular facility, to the completion
of the new bank, the response from the St. James community has been overwhelmingly positive.
We look forward to the opportunities to serve the financial needs of our new customers in the area and look forward to
developing new relationships in the years to come. I encourage and invite you to stop by and say hello to our staff and tour
the new building.
And finally, our newest edition to the bank’s product line is our new mobile banking product, Mobiliti. We have spent
countless hours this past year researching and testing and believe Mobiliti is one of the most technological advanced, safest
mobile banking products on the market. You can have 24 hour access to your money at your fingertips. Best of all, it is another
free service provided by The Maries County Bank. I encourage you to enroll in our free Online Banking program and click on
the “options” button to subscribe. I think you will be impressed with the options and the flexibility to choose the application
that is best for you.
From all of us at The Maries County Bank, we want to wish you and your family a Merry Christmas and a joyous and
prosperous New Year!
Social Security paper checks a thing of the past.
Deadline to switch to electronic deposit is March 1, 2013
Are you getting Social Security, VA, or other federal benefits by paper check? You are required by the U.S.
Department of the Treasury to switch to electronic payments by March 1, 2013. If you did not sign up for electronic
payments when you applied for benefits, we strongly urge you to do it now. If you don’t, the U.S. Department of
Treasury may send your benefits via the Direct Express card program to avoid an interruption in payment.
How do I switch to electronic payments? If you are already receiving benefits, you can obtain a password and start
or change to direct deposit online by visiting www.GoDirect.com.You can also sign up at any of our branches with the
help of your personal banker, or by contacting Social Security via phone at 1-800-772-1213.
Have more questions? We’re happy to answer any and all questions you may have to help you through this transition.
You can also inquire directly with Social Security by calling 1-800-772-1213.
Merry Christmas &
Happy New Year!

Mobiliti has arrived at MCB!
A new, safe way to conveniently monitor your accounts.
In the fall 2012, The Maries County Bank and Branches began offering Mobiliti, a mobile banking
platform that lets you check your balances, make transfers and set alerts for low balances.
“We are happy to bring this service to our customers and hope they enjoy having quick and secure
access to their accounts” said Clay Vogt, President/CEO.
Management at the bank has spent many months researching the options for mobile banking to ensure
that they are offering the most secure product available. The new program interfaces with MCB’s Online
Banking provider, ensuring that users will be satisfied with its capabilities.
To check balances or make transfers between deposit accounts, Mobiliti will offer smart-phone users
the option to download an application directly to their cell phone or log in to a secure webpage through
their phone. The website offers the same security features as The Maries County Bank’s traditional
website. Prior to logging in to check balances, users will be prompted for their log in ID and password.
Smart-phone users will be able to check balances, view limited account history and make transfers

Our Memory Makers’ Christmas party was held December 14 at the
Community Center in Belle. This year we had a special guest speaker
at the party. Benni, from “Trips”, gave us all of the details on our 2013
Grand Safari Adventure to Kenya, Africa.
On December 16th, Memory Makers had a day trip to St Louis
Cathedral for a Christmas concert. We attended the “Way of Lights” at
Our Lady of Snows in Belleville, Illinois, enjoyed a Christmas Dinner
Buffet, and drove through the Winter Wonderland at Tillis Park.
Memory Makers’ Travel Program will celebrate its 10th Anniversary
in 2013. We are planning and preparing for a terrific year of making
incredible memories. Our day trips for 2013 are still in the planning. We
will feature our annual Mystery Day trip, an overnight Mystery trip, our
Big Kid – Little Kid Day, and many more adventures.
We are working on getting some new display cabinets to give
customers easy access to our trip brochures and newsletters. More news
on that coming soon.
Why not plan to set aside a day or even a week and travel with Memory
Makers. We would love to have you join us and experience some of our
fun adventures.

It Makes Cents to Count on a Cure.
CBD raised over $800 for Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer
Foundation.
The Community Bank of Dixon was very proactive this
year during Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Throughout the
month of October, CBD sold t-shirts with the tagline of “It
makes Cent$ to Count on a Cure!” Another way they raised
money was with a jar filled with chocolate coins. To take a
guess at how many coins were in the jar was $.25. The winner
of the chocolate coins was Kyleigh Doba (pictured below). The
local branch raised a total of $840.03. All the procceeds of the
t-shirt sales & chocolate guesses were donated to the national
organization, Susan
G Komen for a Cure.
“We’re going to make
this an annual event.
Look out next year for
a new t-shirt design!”
stated Tina Vrba, Branch
President of CBD.
