This has been a great year for fundraising due to the amazing
support of our families, faculty, staff, and the Wellington
Community. We have met our goals and will continue to be able
to provide a substantial amount of educational tools, technology,
and assistance to our teachers and students. And, we are not
done yet. There is still one more Popcorn Friday on May 22 nd.
I’ve already started arranging our spirit nights for the next school
year, which will include Chick-Fil-A, of course, and for something
new we are going to try PDQ. With your continued support, I’m
looking forward to another great year at Binks.

We will be sponsoring a collection for HEART
(Homeless Education Assistance Resource Team) in
May as our last service project of the school
year.
Each classroom will have a box for
donations. A flyer will be sent out with the specific
item needed. HEART is made up of social service
professionals who work to address problems faced
by homeless children and youth attending school in
Palm Beach County.
There are currently
approximately 1,600 homeless students identified
in our school district. Thanks in advance for your
anticipated generosity.

Holocaust Education – The fifth graders have

Guidance. They are also have been reading
novels about the Holocaust in their Language
Arts Class and 5th grade Patrols will be visiting
the “Daniel’s Story” exhibit at the United States
Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington,
D.C. We are honored to welcome our guest
speaker and Holocaust Survivor, Zelda
Fuksman who will be speaking to the 5th
graders on May 20th. This is always a very
memorable and meaningful experience that
few students in Palm Beach County are able to
experience the way our students do at Binks
