THE FLUIDAMPR STORY
In 1946 Vibratech TVD invented the viscous damper which was designed for large heavy duty engines. In 1985
the same technology was transferred to the performance gas engine market under the name Fluidampr. Do not
be fooled by imitations or cheap knockoff versions. Fluidampr is the original and best damper on the market to
protect your engine at all frequency ranges.

THE FACTS BEHIND OUR TECHNOLOGY
CRANKSHAFT TORSIONAL VIBRATION
On each ignition fire, the torque caused by combustion actually twists the metal of the crankshaft. Then, when combustion
pressure is relieved the crankshaft metal rebounds. This sets the stage for torsional vibration. All factors of generating
torque and crankshaft design affect the magnitude of torsional vibration. Repeated frequency spikes of torsional vibration
place intense stress on the crankshaft causing metal fatigue. The crankshaft damper controls this destructive force.
THE FLUIDAMPR SOLUTION
A Fluidampr viscous crankshaft damper is made from three key parts: a CNC machined and balanced housing, a precision fit
and balanced inertia ring inside and a thin layer of silicone between the two. Silicone is a thermally stable, premium material
used to transfer energy and dissipate heat generated by damping torsional vibration.
THE FLUIDAMPR ADVANTAGE
When performance parts are added, the characteristics of torsional vibration change. Stock rubber based crankshaft
dampers are frequency sensitive and can only damp torsional vibration within a predetermined bandwidth limited by the
stiffness of the rubber. Fluidampr viscous dampers are frequency insensitive and self-tune in real time throughout the RPM
range to the torsional vibration bandwidth. Fluidampr performance dampers for gas and diesel engines do not need to be
tuned or rebuilt and provide long lasting superior protection against engine damage caused by uncontrolled torsional vibration.

CT GOLD DAMPERS
Our CT Gold dampers, made for small and big block Chevy crankshafts,
are just as suited for circle track as they are drag racing. Fluidampr’s new
centering technology is specifically made for race engines to improve the
control of continuous torsional vibrations above 6,000 RPM. This new
design is far superior to any rubber damper and will allow the rotating
assembly to be balanced with the Fluidampr installed on the crankshaft.
Fluidampr’s new technology allows the inertia ring to remain centered
in the housing cavity when the damper is at rest. Never needs to be
tuned or rebuilt.

Destructive crankshaft torsional vibration is a common effect of
performance parts upgrades, it accelerates the wear of critical engine
components. The new performance damper for Honda S2000 protects
your engine from harmful torsional vibration throughout the entire
rpm range.
TESTED BY RACE ENGINE DEVELOPERS
Engineered and tested in conjunction with world renowned Honda
race engine developers, ENDYN Energy Dynamics and Urge Designs.
Controlled pulls allow torsional vibrations to ‘stack up’ and provide a
more accurate test result of a damper’s ability to protect.
TEST RESULTS
Controlled testing on a mildly tuned F22C engine utilizing a Superflow
water brake engine dynamometer, at a rate of 1000rpm per 2 seconds,
resulted in an average 9.1hp and 8.2lb-ft gains at the crank over the stock
harmonic damper. In addition, it also indicated an average 5.2hp and
4.2lb-ft gain over the leading custom built performance o-ring damper.

The problem is, over a period of time, the rubber in the damper
tends to wear out for much the same reason the crankshaft has
problems in the first place… Heat starts to break down the rubber
causing it to harden and crack. Eventually, the damper starts to lose
its effectiveness. So, torsional twist will start taking its toll on the
crankshaft… I believe the best way to dampen harmonics is with a
damper that incorporates a heavy silicone gel.

FREIGHT CLAIMS: All parts are inspected for count and quality before shipping. Customer accepts responsibility for the
product at the time of shipping. Any claims for damage or loss must be filed with freight carrier. Fluidampr will provide any
shipping information if needed.
INTERNATIONAL ORDERS: All international orders must be paid in full prior to shipment by wire transfer or by sending
a money order in “U.S. Funds Only”. International customers must pay all shipping charges, duties, customs, taxes and other
costs. Fluidampr will not be responsible for these charges. Fluidampr will use the best available carrier unless our customer
specifies a carrier. Whatever services are used there must be tracking capabilities.
RETURNS: All returns must be made within 30 days from date of purchase. The return must have a Return Authorization
Number from Fluidampr and must include a copy of the original purchase invoice. All returns must be in original packaging to
be eligible. Customer pays for return freight. Fluidampr will exchange product or process a credit to your account. Any return
sent C.O.D. will not be accepted.
WARRANTY: All warranty claims must be made with your point of purchase.
