100-year agreements for grave maintenance are
available at a charge of 40 times the amounts

Appointments
If you wish to meet the Cemetery manager, he is on site at Hoddesdon Cemetery on
Tuesday mornings from 9-10.30am and Cheshunt Cemetery on Thursday mornings
from 9-10.30am. Alternatively, please telephone the Cemetery office on 01992 785507
to make an appointment. The meeting point is at the relevant chapel.
Information items
In the last year, there were 245 burials and 113 cremated remains interments in the
cemeteries. For Cemetery provision the Council benchmarks well with other local authorities,
obtaining a gold award in the ICCM Best Value scheme. The 2014 comparison results
published by CIPFA show that the Council is also performing well financially.

Cheshunt Cemetery
The Green Flag award for Cheshunt Cemetery was retained Spring 2014.
Hoddesdon Cemetery
Changes to the landscape have created extra space for burials and a further site in
Hoddesdon as an additional Cemetery has been identified and the planning permission
granted.

Cemetery fees and charges
All prices shown include VAT where applicable, and are resident rates. Non-residents who
have moved from the Borough within the last 10 years and who previously resided in the
Borough for a minimum of 20 years may be eligible for resident rate (further details on
application). The non-resident charge is four times the fee listed. Graves in Hoddesdon
Cemetery cannot be purchased by non-residents.
