High Speed Linear Saw WBS 120
The WEK 120 offers a powerful solution in a compact footprint.
This highly flexible machine produces single-sided framework
with sheathing. The framework is positioned, clamped and
fastened automatically by the well proven Weinmann stop
alignment system. After the sheathing is manually positioned,
the CNC driven multi-function bridge drives across the element
and fastens the sheathing. An optional routing unit is available
to rout out the rough openings to complete the wall element.
The saw has been specifically designed for high speed and accurate
sawing, labeling and marking for the entire scope of parts required for
fabricating trusses and wall panel components.
As a cost-efficient linear saw with integrated, proven software, the saw
meets all requirements of the truss and panel fabricator.
In addition, the WBS 120 is modular and upgradeable. For example,
automatic material retrieval can be added (at any time) to further
increase efficiences, facilitate growth or handle market changes.

Peter Aitchison has worked in the homebuilding industry for more than 40 years. For the
past 25 years, he has been Senior Manager of Engineering, Product Development, Design and
Quality Control for one of the largest producers of homes and buildings in Canada, Triple M
Housing Ltd. in Lethbridge, Alberta. He has extensive knowledge of the industry in Canada, the
United States and other countries, and experience in a wide range of markets has provided him
with the opportunity to innovate and share information with industry colleagues in a range of
jurisdictions.
A CMHI member for more than 40 years, Peter is committed to technical excellence
and continuous improvement in the quality and sustainability of Canadian housing. He has
served as the Chair of the Canadian Standards’ Association (CSA) Technical Committee
on the Factory Certification of Buildings since 2000, and as a Committee member since Peter Aitchison
CMHI President
1980. He has been a member of the Standing Committee on Housing and Small Buildings Président de l’ICHU
and related National Building Code Task Groups since 2001. He has been an R-2000
builder, and a Built Green™ demonstration home builder. A member of the Canadian Home Builders’ Association’s
(CHBA’s) National Technical Research Committee for more than 10 years, Peter was honoured in 2007 with CHBA’s
national William M. McCance award, presented annually to an individual to recognize contributions to the Canadian
housing industry in the technical area.
Peter Aitchison a travaillé dans l’industrie de construction pendant plus de 40 années. Depuis 25 années, il
était cadre supérieur d’ingénierie, développement du produit, calcul et contrôle de la qualité pour un des plus
grands constructeurs de maisons et de bâtiments au Canada, Triple M Housing Ltd. à Lethbridge (Alberta). Il a la
connaissance vaste de l’industrie au Canada, les États Unis et des autres pays. Une expérience dans une grande
variété de marchés a lui fourni l’occasion d’innover et partager des informations avec ses collègues dans l’industrie à
travers une large gamme de juridictions.
Un adhérent de l’ICHU pendant plus de 40 années, Peter est engagé à l’excellence technique et l’amélioration continue
de la qualité et à la durabilité de logement canadien. Il avait servi comme président de la Comité technique sur la
certification en usine des bâtiments de l’Association canadienne de normalisation (CSA) depuis l’an 2000 et comme
membre de comité depuis 1980. Il a été membre de la Comité permanent des maisons et des petits bâtiments et des
groupes d’étude du Code national du bâtiment depuis l’an 2001. Il a été bâtisseur R-2000 et un bâtisseur de maisons
témoins Built Green™. Un membre de la Comité nationale de recherche technique de l’Association canadienne des
constructeurs d’habitations (ACCH) pendant plus de 10 années, Peter à été honoré en 2007 avec le prix national William
M. McCance qui est présenté annuellement en reconnaissance des contributions à l’industrie de logement canadienne
dans le domaine technique.
