The “Project to revitalize the local area by hosting the Setouchi Triennale” winning the First JAPAN TOURISM AWARDS
“Grand Prize” is a pleasure above any other, and a great source of encouragement to everyone involved. While people have
been calling out for regional revitalization, “connections” are created when many different types of people such as top tier
artists from around the world and event visitors, as well as volunteer supporters and people who live in the Setouchi region,
all get the chance to meet each other. This is exactly the type of thing that can make communities more vibrant.
Along with General Producer Soichiro Fukutake and General Director Fram Kitagawa, we plan to devote our efforts to the third
Setouchi Triennale in 2016. We hope to see all of you there.
