THE NEW SMITH’S®
2014 was a year of discovery and change for Smith’s
Consumer Products Inc. For the first time in a
decade, we decided to revitalize our Smith’s® brand
and reposition it as a lifestyle brand, targeting the
outdoorsman, not just sportsmen. In addition, we
wanted to increase our in-store presence, build brand
awareness, create customer pull, differentiate ourselves
from competitors, and increase sales and market share.
Accomplishing all of these objectives in one project was
a bold task indeed, but one we felt would re-establish
Smith’s® as the uncontested market leader in sharpening
and allow us to move into adjacent retail categories.
Throughout this product brochure you will see the NEW
Smith’s®. We have a new logo, new taglines, and new
product color schemes. We completely revamped our
packaging graphics and, in some cases, the packaging
design. However, the most important result of this
project is our new brand positioning statement. A
position we feel will be the guiding light for Smith’s®
brand to become known by both our customers
and consumers as the brand you turn to for serious,
innovative tools that respond to consumer needs and
keep you on top of your game when it’s time to perform.

WARRANTY
Three Year Limited Use Warranty.
Smith’s® sharpeners are guaranteed against defective material or workmanship for a
period of three (3) full years from the date of purchase if the product is used for nonindustrial or non-commercial purposes only. We will replace or repair, at our option,
any product or part that is defective in material or workmanship without charge if the
product is returned to us within the three (3) year warranty period. This limited warranty
DOES NOT cover replacement of abrasive materials necessitated by use of the product
or product damage resulting from misuse. For warranty repairs, return the complete
product, postage prepaid, directly to our factory with proof of the original date of
purchase from a retailer. Please include a description of the problem, physical return
shipping address, and contact information. For warranty issues or repairs outside the
United States, please contact the Smith’s distributor for your country.
ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF
MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ARE EXPRESSLY

Smith’s Consumer Products and its network of Representatives are always willing to conduct in-store
demonstrations and training on its various product lines in order to educate and train sales personnel and

Market Research
Smith’s Consumer Products will again conduct extensive market research in 2015 to better understand our
consumer, brand positioning, and purchasing experience. In addition, we will use knowledge gained from this

Merchandising
Edge Care Centers are permanent in-store merchandisers
