Things to Know:
1. No prior experience – just an open mind and heart.
2. It will be Spring in South Africa. Please bring your sun gear: hat, sun screen, mosquito
repellent. Layered clothing including fleece, jacket and rain coat. The mornings and evenings can be
chilly. Temperatures range from 64o to 82o F.
3. White Lion land (Timbavati) is a low risk malaria area – consult with a doctor for possibly
taking preventive measures. You are responsible for your health. Suggested medication: Malarone,
which can be taken preventively without much side effects, or in case of symptoms.
4. Delicious meals are made on site. Let us know if you have any dietary restrictions (gluten free,
vegetarian or vegan preferences for example).
5. Participants will be paired by rooms. Options for single rooms might be possible for an
additional charge.
6. Trips to the Tsau are a major source of income for the White Lion Trust, which we wholeheartedly
support!
The White Lions were first discovered in 1975. They were
artificially removed from their habitat to serve the (legal)
trophy hunting industry or populate zoos– shooting a White
Lion can fetch more than US$100,000. Against the hunting
mafia, Linda Tucker has vowed to return the White Lions to
their ancestral habitat. For a decade she has succeeded in
reintroducing 3 generations of lions. The White Lions upkeep,
protection and survival depend on the White Lion Protection
Trust's being supported financially, ecologically and spiritually.
These books are excellent resources and are pre-requisites for this journey:
1. Mystery of the White Lions: Children of the Sun God by Linda Tucker
2. Shamanic Breathwork by Linda Star Wolf
3. Adam's Calendar by Johan Heine & Michael Tellinger
Other recommendations: Visionary Shamanism by Linda Star Wolf, One Woman's Battle to Save
Africa's Most Sacred Animal by Linda Tucker, Temples of the African Gods by Heine & Tellinger
