Who are we?
THE
The Bushwackers are Australia’s best known, best loved Bush Band with 40 years
of performance history. Entire generations of your school community will know
the band and be enthusasitic about The Bushwackers coming along to an event at
your school.
How to book?
We make it easy for you to get in touch with us and promote your unique fundraising event. We have a GIG KIT that includes a poster and flyer template,
photographs, bios, and press releases all ready for you to add your details once you
book us.
Why book us?
What a unique and fun way to raise funds for your school! Bush Dancing with The
Bushwackers is a wonderful, joyous outpouring of energy and enthusiasm. The
Bushwackers play just enough Bushdancing music to get everyone involved and
deliver a lively mix of Australian classic songs including ‘I Am Australian’ written
by the lead singer Dobe Newton and ‘Down Under’ and many other great Aussie
songs. The songs are mostly very upbeat and great to dance to as well. We guarantee to deliver a great night every time.
What will we need?
We’d require a minimum fee of $3000 plus GST to come and perform at your
school (in the Metropolitan areas of Sydney and Melbourne*). That may seem like
a lot of money but we’d recommend charging $20 per adult ticket, $10 per child
and $40 per family of 4. So your breakeven point is approximately 100 adults and
100 kids. We often have as many as 500 people dancing at our Bush dances. Most
schools have a great hall now and we’ll bring a P.A system, lights and everything
else we need. And what about a supper? Dancing makes you hungry and thirsty,
and it’s another way to raise money!
