The high-class concert, Pyeongrong: That Peaceful Reverberation, reinterprets traditional Korean music
from a modern perspective.
About the Performance
∎ A chance to appreciate the Korean traditional music inscribed on the Unesco Intangible Cultural
Heritage List (Jongmyojeryeak, Arirang and Pansori)
∎ A high-class traditional music concert that grafts modern performing arts onto traditional
Korean music, exhibiting excellence and beauty of traditional Korean music
∎ Heart-moving songs about human life and love linger on even after the performance.
Intro
‣ In this concert, traditional Korean music is combined with cutting-edge technology of media art
called 3D Projection Mapping.
⁍ What is 3D Projection Mapping? It is the art of scanning buildings and sculptures and projecting them
onto the stage and seats. It gives a three-dimensional effect that makes things look more real than in real
life, enabling viewers to experience unique images and giving the effect that the projected things look alive.
Namsangol Hanok Village
‣ A traditional Korean village established in 1998. It is favored as a main
attraction for foreign tourists as it is easy to visit by public transport, and
nearby tourist attractions are readily accessible from it (free admission).
⁍ Hanok (traditional Korean house) tours and programs for experiencing
traditional culture are regularly available
