ABOUT TURKISH WIND ENERGY ASSOCIATION (TUREB / TWEA)
Turkish Wind Energy Association (TÜREB) which was established by
the Council of Ministers on 10 February 1992 and with 92/2752
number, is a technical non-profit association which follows scientific
and technical researches related to wind energy, aims at extensive use
of this energy, collects and compiles technological information in line
with this aim and performing widespread activities such as seminars,
conferences, and making publications for utilization of such
information.
TUREB works coordinated efforts towards gaining extensive use of
Wind Energy Potential in Turkey to the country's economy with
General Directorate of Renewable Energy (former EIE), Turkish
Electricity Transmission Company (TEİAŞ), General Directorate of
Energy Affairs (EİGM), Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EMRA)
and Ministry of Energy.
TUREB, officially member of The European Wind Energy Association,
is the most powerful non-governmental organization in Turkey.
