I KILLED THE PROM QUEEN have already established themselves as a major force in Australian HC & Metal with a
plethora of accolades behind them, their debut album “When Goodbye Means Forever”, debuted in the AIR charts at #12
before breaking into the top 10 at #6 where it remained for over six weeks, something previously unheard of for a local
hardcore or metal band. They have also toured with a “who’s who” of the current front runners of the post hardcore and
rock/metal genres such as, Silverstein, The Haunted, Soilwork, Fear Factory and Alexisonfire as well as metal legends
Exodus. IKTPQ have also been a regular fixture on the festival circuit making appearances on Australian festivals such
as “Big Day Out”, “Overcranked”, “Destroy Music Tour” and the “Come Together Festival” and International dates such
“Hellfest” (New Jersey USA) and various North American and UK dates also under their collective belts.
With their phoenix rising IKTPQ knew they needed to deliver the goods and thus
embarked on their most ambitious venture to date opting to travel to Sweden to
record the sophomore release with legendary producer Fredrik Nordstrom and
Patrik J. Sten (In Flames, Soilwork, At The Gates). The result is stunning slab of
Australian metallic hardcore injected with melody, razor sharp riffing, crushing
breakdowns while still allowing each song to breathe creating an album full of
hooks and classy craftsmanship.
