This year’s Family Travel Show returns to Olympia
on 1 - 2 October 2016, bigger and better than before
with a larger venue, more attractions, and new
show features.
Families can explore new holiday destinations, dip
a toe into the world of cruising or go wild and plan

rainforest retreats and swanky all-inclusive resorts –
and all under one roof.

the ultimate challenge, particularly for first-timers. Don’t be afraid!

in our headline theatre with informative talks and panel sessions.
Small Steps Crèche
Parents can take advantage of this pre-bookable drop-in crèche
which is free of charge and available for youngsters from 17 weeks
to eight years. It is just the thing to give parents peace of mind to
enjoy the show, knowing their offspring are being cared for by the
experienced childcare team.
Around The World Theatre
These talks are perfect for those with itchy feet who want to
discover new destinations, cultures and experiences with their
babies, toddlers or teens.
Climbing Zone
Young and old visitors can have a go; kids can challenge dad and
see who will make it to the top first. But all ages can learn how to
climb under safe instruction from expert climbers.

After the incredible success of the Young Travel Photographers
Competition, we are running it again in 2016.
This exciting photography competition has one simple aim –
to celebrate the skill of young travel photographers as they capture
the highlights of their adventures around the world with their families.
From quirky signs and bustling markets to awe-inspiring
landscapes and amazing architecture – we look forward to
seeing the whole range of intriguing images through the eyes
of budding young snappers!
There are two age categories: 11 & Under and 12-17 years,
and the winner of each category will be awarded an amazing
prize by our sponsors.
Winning images and further selected photographs will also
be given pride of place in the Young Travel Photographers Exhibition
at the Family Travel Show, Olympia London on October 1-2, 2016.

MARKETING CAMPAIGN
A programme of promotional activities for the Family Travel
Show will be carefully planned and precisely executed to ensure
this event attracts a high-quality audience of discerning families.
The show is supported by a heavyweight, multi-media
advertising and marketing campaign, consisting of TV, radio,
national newspapers, regional newspapers, specialist cruise and
travel magazines, consumer lifestyle titles, parenting websites,
outdoor advertising, online and direct marketing.
In addition to the advertising and marketing campaign, a
dedicated PR campaign will be run in the lead-up to the Family
Travel Show to highlight, showcase and promote family travel
to the media, giving sponsors and exhibitors valuable pre-show
exposure.
Newspaper Advertising: A comprehensive advertising and
promotional campaign with our official media partners in the
Daily Mail and The Mail on Sunday. Mail readers are enthusiastic
travellers - an affluent audience – they are knowledgeable about
travel, always looking to get away and keen to share opinions! In
addition we will also be promoting the show within relevant free
daily newspapers, targeting the all-important commuter audience.
Radio Advertising: On air advertising campaign with the UK’s
leading commercial radio brand. Heart London attracts close to
2 million listeners every week.
FREE tickets for your clients: All exhibitors will receive an
allocation of complimentary invitations for their clients to visit
the Family Travel Show. The invitation will be personalised to
include your company logo with one main image – we will print
these for you and you can also have it as a downloadable PDF
document.
The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea: The borough
has a higher proportion of high earners than any other local
government district in the country. Bordering with the City
of Westminster, Hammersmith & Fulham, it has the highest
proportion of workers in the financial sector. Olympia’s
catchment area also has the highest concentration of multimillion pound family homes in London, which we will target with
a bespoke DM campaign.
Travel and Consumer Lifestyle Media Advertising: A long-lead
advertising campaign starting 4-months prior to the show to
feature in relevant travel and consumer lifestyle magazines with
