Petal Pizazz Instructions
In the Hoop
Supplies you will need
Fabric -- I used about a fat quarter and full quarters for my 24 blocks, plus fabric for the center blocks
Steam a Seam Lite II -- you can get sheets at Joanne's
Fusible web -- one sided, I used Pellon Quilters grid - used for the stabilizer
Clover Mimi Iron -- I use the clover mini iron II got mine at Joanne's , I see no other way to do this ,with out this small iron
Reg medium stabilizer for using for the pattern pieces
Square Blocks
for each block you will need
1 1/2 inch strips
(2 each) 4 3/4 inches
(2 each) 6 3/4 inches
and 1 center block 4 3/4 inches square
this will give you a bit of leeway
Angle Blocks
1 center block 4 3/4 inch
4 corner pieces, 4.5 inch squares, cut diagonal to form the triangles
Note on cutting out pattern pieces. Some designs have a filled flower center.. go ahead and cut the flower pattern to encompass this.. it will make it
stranger. same with the inner bow.. cut the full bow, not the little parts

The first step it to hoop some medium
stabilizer and sew out the outlines designs.
they are the designs starting with pfr. Mark
them well on the top before cutting out the
pattern pieces Notice I even put some arrows
to help with direction

Next step is to remove one side paper of
Steam a seam Lie II, and iron your fabric to
the Steam a seam II on that side. I then
placed the pattern pieces face up on face up
fabric and cut them out. Cut them out
exactly on the thread line, Until you are
ready to use, leave the pattern pieces in place.
It helps when getting ready to place them on
the block
Note on cutting out pattern pieces. Some
designs have a filled flower center.. go ahead
and cut the full flower pattern to encompasss
this.. it will make it stranger

Once again press the seams over, it is

Replace the hoop in the machine and the next
sew out will be the outline of the block. Where
seams meet hold with your finger lightly so the
foot does not pinch the joins. when the block
out line is done the center out line will be sewn
out so you will know where to place the flower
parts

remove the hoop and place on the iron board,
remove the paper from the back of the
pattern pieces, place the flower parts in
place .. it will be a slight sticky and this will
help you place exactly in place. If you are not
precise, the fabric will not be in the right
place for the embroidery phase, Iron in place
