Our featured act in May is no stranger to the Hofbräuhaus Las Vegas! The five
person band Didi’s Hörmittel mit Frauke (which sometimes describes themselves
as “four musicians and one Frauke”) has made several appearances here already
and are back by popular demand!
In past appearances this group thrilled audiences in the Hofbräuhaus Las Vegas
with their high-energy stage show that includes a variety of songs you won’t hear
anywhere else. In addition, their warm and engaging stage presence has made
them famous the world over.

Jay White as Neil Diamond taps
our first keg of Maibock!
Y
ou asked for him and you got him! Jay White, back by popular
demand, tapped our first Maibock keg of the season. Jay
displayed the keg-tapping prowess of a seasoned veteran as
he easily tapped the keg of delicious Maibock. Once the keg
tapping was done, Mr. White jumped on stage and treated the
audience to a Neil Diamond tribute performance they will never
forget. Everyone was singing and dancing and having the time of
their lives. You can see the man even Neil Diamond says is the
very best Neil Diamond tribute artist in the world at the Rivera.

ofbräuhaus Las Vegas is ready to quench your thirst with a
specially brewed time-honored spring beer! For the fourth
year in a row, Maibock, one of Munich’s oldest beers, has
been brought back to Las Vegas for a limited time and the only place
you’ll be able to taste this hearty rich brew with a powerful punch is at
Hofbräuhaus Las Vegas.

extreme high temperatures so that it could ferment longer, resulting
in a stronger alcoholic brew. This method also allowed the beer to
travel over longer distances making it a popular export to other cities
throughout Bavaria.
Maibock has a long history in Germany and is one of the originals in
the family of Bock beers. Maibock is a spring brew that was originally
created in 1614 by Hofbräuhaus Brew Master, Elias Pichler. The beer
was produced in response to the public’s call for a newer, stronger
beer. Pichler developed this Bock by putting an innovative
Pichler’s 17th Century creation is still brewed today using the same
time-honored formula consisting of 16% original wort and an alcohol
content of about 7.2% by volume. Order one today and raise your

Here at Hofbräuhaus Las Vegas we are world-famous for our beer and this month we are featuring two asparagus specials to go with
a delicious Hofbräu Seasonal Brew! Try our HB Asparagus Soup and our amazing Spargel Schnitzel, a savory breaded pork cutlet fried

HB ASPARAGUS SOUP
SPARGEL SCHNITZEL

HB ASPARAGUS SOUP RECIPE
Ingredients:
Preparation:
3 pounds fresh green asparagus
Cut woody ends off asparagus spears and
reserve for stock.
2 gallons reduced asparagus stock
(preparation directions at right)
16 oz. heavy cream
4 oz. white wine
5 finely diced shallots
4 oz. butter
8 oz. flour
Salt and white pepper
Juice from one lemon
½ tsp. sugar

Bring 2 gallons of water to boil, seasoned
with salt, butter, and sugar.
Strain stock through fine strainer to remove
any particles and return stock to medium
heat on stove. Add heavy cream to stock.
In a medium stockpot, melt butter over
medium high heat. When melted and foamy
add flour and cook to make roux.
Peel the lower end of asparagus stalks with
potato peeler, reserve peelings. Place woody
ends, and peelings in water. Lower heat and Slowly add roux to stock to thicken the
simmer to infuse flavor to stock.

Maffioli is most famous here at the
