Andermatt Swiss Alps AG (ASA) is currently building
a tourist resort in Andermatt including several hotels;
holiday flats and homes; leisure facilities and a golf
course. In addition to structural developments in the
village of Andermatt, there are also existing facilities
for ski tourism in the Ursern Valley between Andermatt and the Oberalp pass (in the region Göschenen – Andermatt – Nätschen – Gütsch – Oberalp) as well as
Gemsstock (in the region Andermatt – Gurschen – Gemsstock) that need to be modernised or expanded.
The objective of the planned development is to achieve
sustainable tourism in the region.
For this development the Andermatt Gotthard Sportbahnen AG (AGS) and the Sedrun Bergbahnen AG
(SBAG) have jointly formed the Andermatt-Sedrun
Sport AG (ASS). The first projects between Andermatt
and Sedrun will start during Summer 2014. The ski
lift connections are planned to be ready for Winter
2016/2017.

in Sedrun
· 86 km winter walking tracks, of which 21 km are in Obergoms,
20 km in the Ursern Valley and 45 km in Sedrun
· Snow shoeing possibilities in Goms, in the Ursern Valley and Sedrun
· A Spa in Sedrun with a wellness oasis
· Schools for snow sports and mountaineering
· Several sports outfitters and shops in the region
· Ideal connections for public transportation – the Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn (MGB) is included in all Skiarena tickets

2013/14

On the Sunny Side
of Winter
When the sun shines the heart opens up. When lowlands
suffer with fog, the sun is like a magnet – the slopes are
good, even great. And what a wonderful feeling to see
smiling faces all around: winter enthusiasm at its best:
whether due to the helpful, sincere attitude of the friendly
staff at the Skiarena Andermatt-Sedrun towards their
guests, or because of the joyful beaming of the winter
guests themselves. The sun rises both in reality and in
one's own heart. One gets warmed up a little nearer to
heaven and there is plenty of sun for it.
If Winter 2013/14 becomes as wonderful as the attractive
offers of the Skiarena Andermatt-Sedrun, nothing can
go wrong anymore. You can reach the Skiarena from
Lucerne in less than one hour. The ski resorts Gemsstock,
Nätschen and Sedrun-Oberalp are all included in one
single ski pass.
And soon the connection of the ski resorts AndermattSedrun will be realised. You can already look forward
to the Skiarena Andermatt-Sedrun with its modern
conveyance facilities, new slopes and offers right in
the heart of Switzerland.

Fun- and CrossPark
Tegia Gronda
The Fun and CrossPark near the T-bar lift in Tegia Gronda
is well known to and popular with snowboarders and
freeskiers. Not only is the location particularly special,
the park is between 2'000 m and 2'300 m above sea
level and offers all day sunshine and a gorgeous view.
The Funpark Tegia Gronda is an attraction in the region.
Well-shaped elements; a jovial atmosphere; lots of
satisfied faces. After the start hill, decorated with a palm
tree, lots of kickers, boxes and rails from small to big
can be ridden: and then get back on the T-bar lift to start
all over again. A 100 m long half-pipe is available to
all riders. Beside sporty activities the park offers a cool
Chill Lounge with sofas, boxes and a hi-fi system to
which one's own iPod can be connected and turned on.
An absolute must is the 800 m long ski- and boarder
cross slope which is known as the CrossPark. Right after
the start of the varied run, lots of waves, tables, jumps
and 5 steep turns make for perfect fun. Due to three
graded lines with differing levels of difficulty the CrossPark Sedrun is suitable for all sports persons. The lines
can easily be booked for a set period of time to enable
races for schools, courses, training, events, etc. On a
clearly arranged availability chart all open or occupied
time slots are visible. For more information see:
www.crosspark.ch
G-Park at
Gurschen/Gemsstock
The G-Park offers over a length of approximately
400 meters, partly challenging jumps, different rails
and some natural obstacles. The G-Park bar with
up-to-date music complements this attractive facility.
Avalanche Trainig
Center/ATC
The Avalanche Training Center is open to all guests of
the Skiarena Andermatt-Sedrun. It is ideal as a training
place for groups, specialised courses, assessments and
examinations or just for single persons. The training
center at Gurschenalp can be reached easily with
snowshoes. Training courses are held with your own
equipment. Search training for single as well as multiple
casualties buried in the snow is possible on a realistic
avalanche cone with 16 controllable transmitters.
Bernhard Russi Run
“This is my favourite slope and one of the
most beautiful downhill slopes in the Alps”
Quotation by the native of Andermatt, the Olympic winner
and World Champion about the glacier downhill slope
at Gemsstock which was named after him.
Freeride Powder Mekka
The Gotthard region is according to respective trade
magazines a superlative off-slope area. Above all, the
Gemsstock with up to 1500 metres altitude difference
and with its countless couloirs, cliffs, alpine classics and
downhills, gets many hearts beating faster. Freeriders
are welcomed guests in the Gotthard region with its longstanding tradition.

Snowpark Valtgeva
Family paradise Realp
Family
paradise
An ideal place for a day trip for the whole family,
Snowpark Valtgeva, near the railway station in Sedrun –
with a manageable ski slope is suitable for the first
attempts at Winter sports such as skiing, snowboarding
and free-heel-skiing.
The central point in Valtgeva is the BEGINNERGARDEN,
also suitable for walkers. It offers a snowtubing run and
a 143 meters long belt conveyor (Magic carpet) available
to all skiers, snowboarders and snowtubing users. Furthermore there are 2 T-bar lifts for intermediate learners.
The ski slope in Realp is small and easy to use. It is
well-suited for beginners. The ski area in Realp consists
of a ski lift and a lift for children. The children's lift is
short while the ski lift is slightly longer and steeper.
Together they provide ideal conditions for beginners
and those who want to hone their skills.
The use-friendly nature of this piste makes it especially
attractive to snow sports enthusiasts who would prefer to
avoid one of the larger resorts.

Snowtubing Valtgeva
Whizzing down the slope on a soft tyre tube is pure
winter fun. Snowtubing is suitable for winter sport fans
of all age who enjoy exercise in the snow.
The approximately 200 m long snowtubing facility is

Sedrun. A 143 m long Magic Carpet brings the tubing
users comfortably to the starting point. Then get in to the
tyre and off it goes down the specially prepared slope
