If you have signed up for automatic premium payments using your TrueEarnings® Card from Costco
and American Express, please read this important announcement.
The AmEx co-brand card relationship with Costco is ending. As a result, starting on June 20, 2016,
your TrueEarnings® Card from Costco and American Express cannot be used for premium payments
to Protective. Any scheduled premium payments that are set to occur on or after June 20, 2016, will
be canceled by American Express.
Ensure your recurring premium payments continue without interruption by providing new credit card
information before June 20, 2016. See instructions below on how to update your payment. If you
have questions call 1-844-740-5433 and select Option 4.

Your Auto Pay information can be changed online. To change
payments, please visit www.myaccount.protective.com/costco.
Once you have logged into our secure site, you can follow these steps to add a new funding account and
delete the old funding account:
1. Click on the policy number.
2. Click on “Premium Payment Information” located at the bottom of the page under the
“Change Your...” section.
3. From the “Change Premium Payment Information” page, the radio button for “Credit/Debit” is
already selected. Click “Continue.”
4. From the “Manage Payment Methods” page, click on “Add a Card.”
5. From “Add A Funding Account” page, enter the new card number and click “Continue.”
6. From “Add A Credit Card” page, select the card type and enter the name on card, account
nickname, card expiration date, customer address, city, state and zip code. Then click “Continue.”
7. From the “Manage Payment Methods” page, review the funding information entered and select
the “Set Up Auto Pay” link.
8. From the “Modify Your Auto Pay” page, click on “Edit” across from “Funding Account” and select the
updated funding account within the drop down box. Then click “Continue.”
9. From the “Modify Your Auto Pay” page, read the “Terms and Conditions” agreement and check the box
that you agree and click “Submit.”
10.From the “Thank You for Setting Up Auto Pay” page, click “Continue.”
11.From the “Manage Payment Methods” page, delete the old funding by clicking on the “Delete Funding”
link, located directly under the old card number.
12.From the “Delete Funding” page, confirm the old credit card account is displaying, and click “Continue.”
13.From the “Manage Payment Methods” page, which now displays the new funding account, click on
“Log Out.”
