Happy New Year, Buicktown!
Now listen up, this is your club and you have to participate to keep it happening, we
don’t just do all this for nothing, what, yes, we do! But for the love of the cars and all the great
friends we have made!
There’s a lot of great things planned for this coming year, already. Millie and Larry have at
least 3 events planned for the first months of the new year, with more on the way.
Some of you will be visiting friends in FL in the coming months, and a lot of Buicktown will be
there, make sure to take your roster, so you can check in with them. Also have a safe trip
and look out for the ‘other guy’ and motorcyclists too!
There’s still a lot left to do on the ‘53 Skylark at the Buick Gallery, Gil Mervis has been working with Jacob and some
others, could always use more help!
Plans are underway for the Back to the Bricks Westside Tour scheduled for June 12-16th, I know several of you plan on
going this year. Look for registration forms and hotel information in the new year. The route includes overnight stops in
Battle Creek, Whitehall, Manistee, Boyne City and West Branch with a final luncheon in East Tawas. Should be fun!
Plans for Back to the Bricks 2015 are also in the works as well as the repair and renovation of the Factory One Building
on Water St. Look for more info in the coming months here and in other media, the excitement is newsworthy!
Dues for 2015 are due now, if you are not sure if you have paid or not call or email and I’ll let you know..
That’s it for now see you at the Game Day at Millie and Larry’s on the 10th! Don’t forget to call or email them if you plan
on attending.
Also need hosts for the upcoming meetings and/or tours, so if you would like to volunteer please let one of us know.
Thanks, Happy Buicking and let’s hope for an early spring and not much snow! Roberta

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all !!! It was very nice to see everyone
who was able to attend our Christmas party. A big thank you to Bill Pomeroy and
friend Carol for our entertainment. Bill plays the piano beautifully, and singing
Christmas carols certainly gets one in the spirit of the season. Looking back on
our list of things we are thankful for, the Buicktown club and the many friends we
have made are near the top. We are looking forward to the coming year with
Buicktown and to start, we are hosting Game Night on Jan.10th 2:00pm 3573
Crestwood Dr. Lapeer. We are making sloppy joes, please bring a munchie to
pass, your drinks and a favorite game if you like, we have Wii and a pool table.
If you are able to attend please call 810-728-3133 or 810-895-1929 so we know
how many to plan on.
On Sat.Feb.21st 2:00pm we are going to have the film and speaker on the 19361937 Sit Down Strike at the U.A.W. Hall Region 1-C 1940 W. Atherton Rd. Flint , for those of us who were disappointed
last Feb. when our speaker did not show up, we have been assured that will not happen again, Steve Dawes the assistant director of the U.A.W. Hall will be doing the presentation personally, so please come and bring guests. We are asking for volunteers for our spring tour and welcome any and all suggestions anytime, remember this is YOUR club. In
closing please remember in prayer our members and family's who have health issues and have lost loved ones. God
Bless and remember the Reason for the Season ! Millie and Larry
Sloan Museum has a lot of artifacts, nearly 400,000 of them! You name it, we probably have one.
A large, eclectic collection is required to accurately record life in Flint and Genesee County over
the last 200 years. Our exhibit, Collecting Flint from A to Z, highlights 26 groups from our vast and
varied collection, normally hidden away in museum storage. Each alphabetized set reveals something about our shared history. See historic automobiles and firearms, radios and wedding
dresses, blueprints and everything in-between. Most exhibits are about one thing; this exhibit is
about everything!
