In 2012 Team Cykelcity gathered three international victories
and a total of 23 victories.
Highlights of the season were the victory of Jonas Ahlstrand in the 1st stage of Glava
Tour of Norway (Nor UCI 2.1) where he beat Petacchi and Boasson Hagen in the sprint,
and also the prologue win by Michael Olsson in the Tour de Normandy (Fra UCI 2.2). It
was the second time in a row that Team Cykelcity won the prologue, in 2011 we won it
with Tobias Ludvigsson, now professional with Argos-Shimano.
The victory on home soil in Scandinavian Open in Uppsala (Swe UCI 1.2) was a big
achievement for the team. In an international starting field the team managed to take
all three podium places. Jonas Ahlstrand 1st, Michael Olsson 2nd and Edvin Wilson 3rd!
Team Cykelcity finished (based on UCI Rankings) the 2012 season as one of the top three teams in Scandinavia.
Entering the 2013 season the team has found new title sponsors in People4you and Unaas Cycling. Therefore the team will change name to
Team People4you - Unaas Cycling powered by Bliz.
In 2013 Team People4you - Unaas Cycling powered by Bliz will be the only Swedish Continental team. Despite interest in our riders from several
pro teams we have kept our best riders and have strengthen our team with some new talents. The exception is Jonas Ahlstrand who signed a pro
contract for Team Argos-Shimano (World Tour). Ahlstrand signing a pro contract marked an important achievement for the team, as
Team People4you - Unaas Cycling powered by Bliz has set a goal to deliver at least one pro team rider each year.
During the years our team has produced the following professional riders:
Thomas Löfkvist – La Francaise des Jeux/Protour (2004)/Columbia HTC/Team Sky, Johan Lindgren – La Francaise des Jeux/Protour (2007),
Tobias Ludvigsson - Team Argos-Shimano (2012) and Jonas Ahlstrand - Team Argos-Shimano (2013).
Team People4you - Unaas Cycling powered by Bliz
In 2013 the team will have 12 contracted riders
and 9 of them are U23 riders.
Three of our U23 riders are among the biggest talents in Scandinavia:
Christian Bertilsson (4th European U23 Championship 2012)
Philip Lindau (2011 Swedish champion Mens Elite)
Fredrik Ludvigsson (brother of Tobias Ludvigsson).
With our reputation, our experienced management and staff we hope
to win more than 10 international UCI victories in 2013, and besides this
we hope to produce more riders for the World Tour teams.
In 2012 several Pro teams showed interest in our riders. The Team has
loyal sponsors like CykelCity, Bliz, Craft, ThinkWise, Sixt and
Gran Canaria. All these companies have prolonged their contracts with
Team People4you - Unaas Cycling through 2014.
Argon 18 and Shimano are suppliers of our bikes and bike parts,
assuring that the team has state of the art material at its disposal at all
times. Team People4you - Unaas Cycling is an offensive, energetic and
talented Swedish continental team, with the capacity to send a strong
lineup to each and every race. Our riders are frequently selected for the
National Team, the European Championships and the World
Championships. Our riding style is always inspired and the team
adds colour and excitement to any race.
