ARCLIGHT THEATER AT SANTA MONICA PLACE
Location: Santa Monica, California

W.E. O’Neil is providing preconstruction and construction
services on a new 50,000 square foot, 12 screen (1,500 seat)
movie theater complex on the third floor of the existing
Bloomingdale’s department store. This project marks yet
another collaboration with long time national client, Macerich,
at the Santa Monica Place Mall, location of several recent W.E.
O’Neil projects. As part of the construction, the existing roof
and 3rd floor structure will be removed, and a new, 25‘ taller
structure will be erected. The project crane was successfully
erected on September 17th. All logistics and phasing planning

project is being successfully executed while all Santa Monica
Place businesses are in full operation, with an anticipated
completion in 2015.
