President's Message
Credit unions had their birth in the 1850’s in Germany. From their inception, the member owners of
credit unions have banded together to help the little guy and resist those that might take advantage of
them. Instead of saying, “I am a victim” credit union members have said, “If I work hard, work smart,
and use resources from my credit union; then I can accomplish great things to improve life for my
spouse, my kids, and their children.”
If you have an account with U$X Federal Credit Union (U$X FCU), you are in fact both a member
and an owner of a $200 Million Financial Cooperative. Your team at U$X FCU has worked diligently
to make your relationship with us the best investment you have.
In the last year, we have focused on security. U$X FCU enhanced cyber security to keep your accounts
and information safe from identity thieves. U$X FCU upgraded our Debit Card and Credit Card
programs with EMV CHIP technology again for greater security. U$X FCU also added Identity
Shield/Legal Shield to our product lines to keep our members safe in a challenging world.
Operationally, we have continued to refine our operations, policies and procedures to work smarter and
remain in compliance with an ever expanding array of federal regulations. We have invested in our
employees, our most important asset, by training and developing existing employees and recruiting new
team members to provide legendary service. We want to serve you as you strive to achieve your goals
and make a difference in your world.
U$X FCU also focused on service enhancements. We upgraded our credit card rewards program for
greater member choice. U$X FCU enhanced our Guaranteed Asset Protection to minimize loss if your
vehicle is totaled. Finally, we have upgraded our Mobile Banking App which will improve your mobile
banking experience and bring the added feature of Remote Deposit Capture for our online members.
On a different front, U$X FCU expanded service to members through two mergers which added
offices in both Petrolia and Monaca, Pennsylvania. Renovations are underway in both locations to
provide facilities with the U$X FCU look and feel to serve our members in these new market areas.
We welcome our new members from PENACOL FCU and NABCO FCU.
Based on our year to date review, it appears we are performing as well as or slightly better than our
credit union peers in the Mid-Atlantic region. Market conditions this year and the broad range
of projects we have tackled have been challenging. Although results were less than budgeted, I am
confident we have built a solid foundation from which to serve you for many years to come.
U$X FCU has been working hard for you. It is time for you to reap the rewards of your relationship
with U$X FCU. We do not advertise to the public. When you first came to us you probably heard
about us from your family, employer, or a friend. There was a need you wanted us to meet.
I want to be sure we are still meeting your needs and exceeding your expectations. Our staff is looking

2015 Member Loyalty Reward
In December of 2015, each member received a LOYALTY REWARD equal
to $0.035 cents on every dollar of dividends earned and/or interest paid during
2015. The MEMBER LOYALTY REWARD for 2015 totaled approximately
$245,000.00.
The year 2015 was once again a very challenging one in the financial marketplace.
However, thanks to our loyal members making the choice to use the credit union
for their financial needs, 2015 was a good year for the credit union. All our
products and services were priced at market levels. Every member got a fair

were calculated.

Notice Of Election
Notice is hereby given that two Directors will be elected to the U$X Federal Credit Union
Board of Directors at the 2016 Annual Meeting. The meeting will be held at 6:30 PM,
Wednesday, April 20, 2016, at the Double Tree Cranberry Pittsburgh, 910 Sheraton Drive
Mars, PA 16046.
The following two people have been nominated for election by the Nominating Committee:
Mashawn A. Lorenz - Ms. Lorenz joined U.S. Steel Corporation in May 1990, working
as an Intern in the Systems Organization. She is a 1991 graduate of Duquesne University
with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. She continued her career with
U.S. Steel, working in the Internal Audit Department from January 1992 until June
1997, during which time she obtained her license as a Certified Public Accountant in the
Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. She then joined the Tax Accounting Department in June
1997 and graduated from Duquesne University School of Law in December 1999. Ms.
Lorenz currently works as a Tax Attorney in the U.S. Steel Tax Department. Mashawn, her
husband Steve and three daughters, reside in Shaler Township.
Thomas M. White – Mr. White is an attorney and is employed by U. S. Steel
Corporation as a manager in the Real Estate Department. He has received BSBA,
MBA and Juris Doctorate degrees from Duquesne University. He is a Certified
Public Accountant in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. He joined U. S. Steel as
an Internal Auditor in 1988 and has held various positions in U. S. Steel Treasury,
Corporate Finance, and the U. S. Steel Law Department prior to joining the Real Estate
Department. Tom, his wife Tracy, daughter Kassidy and son Jordan, reside in Penn Township.
Additional nominations for election to the Board were solicited from the membership
in the Fall 2015 issue of the newsletter U$Xtra. No additional nominations have been
received. Accordingly, election of the nominees will be affirmed at the meeting.
No nominations will be accepted from the floor during the Annual Meeting.

Important Changes to U$X FCU Branch Office Hours
Effective February 1, 2016, the office hours for many of our branch offices will be changing. Like any business, there are many reasons to
review and adjust our business hours. The adjustment to our branch office hours is due primarily to the change in our members banking
habits. U$X FCU has utilized the advancements in secure technology that allows members to bank with U$X FCU anytime from anywhere
in the world with internet access. These remote banking options have been very well received and our members continue to migrate to
the remote banking options. However, if you prefer or need to visit our branch offices, our new hours provide some of the longest open to
close hours in the banking industry.
