Our Company
Interceramic began operations in Chihuahua, Mexico in 1979 as a ceramic tile manufacturing
company with the most innovative technology at the time. Today it is one of the largest ceramic
tile manufacturers in North America with a total production capacity of 450 million square feet
per year from nine facilities housed in four different complexes: three in Chihuahua, Mexico, and
one in Garland, Texas.
With 35 years in the market, Interceramic has become a leader not only as a manufacturer, but
also as a distributor of ceramic tile, bathroom fixtures, and setting materials. Through a unique
distribution system of 255 franchised stores in Mexico, 14 company owned design and distribution
centers in the US, and an additional 55 independent distributors in the US and Canada, annual
sales exceed $500 million. Interceramic also has distribution centers in Panama and Guatemala
in Central America, as well as a franchise network in China.

INTERCERAMIC DIGITAL TECHNOLOGY
The word “digital” in its most basic sense, refers to anything composed of numerals, or digits.
The word has come to mean anything created or maintained by computers, which use digital
processing to organize data.
Interceramic has embraced this state of the art process by continually investing in new
equipment, making their production lines even more efficient with better controlled tones and
optimum color variation. Making sure that they stay on top of this ever changing industry,
Interceramic even educates their designers in Europe to assure that they stay true to their
motto, “Simply the Best.” Digital has never been more global, and Interceramic has never

However, the word “digital” to Interceramic means so much more. With the advancement of this

HD Ceramic
Interceramic’s High Density Ceramic is the newest alternative to porcelain tile. Using the latest technologies and the highest quality
materials, HD Ceramic is an innovative alternative to porcelain tiles which can sometimes be more expensive. With a vast array of
styles, colors and decorative pieces suitable for commercial and residential floor applications, Interceramic’s HD Ceramic provides
all the benefits of porcelain tile at a fraction of the cost.
Glazed Ceramic
Glazed ceramic tile has been used for centuries and offers consumers more options in color, texture, pattern and overall
beauty than most other floor covering materials. With new manufacturing techniques, today’s ceramic tile designs are virtually
indistinguishable from natural marbles, travertine, slates and other stone products. Ceramic tile is simply a mixture of clays which
have been shaped and fired at high temperatures, resulting in a hard body. Characterized by a dark red or white back with a fine
glaze over the body of tile, the non-porous glaze creates a surface that is virtually stain proof and very low in maintenance.
Porcelain
Porcelain tiles are usually frost resistant and manufactured using clays (including kaolin and feldspar) that have specific properties.
The extremely high firing temperatures result in a tile that is stain- and scratch-resistant and harder than granite. Dense and
impervious by definition – with a water absorption rate of 0.5% or less – porcelain tile is produced with either glazed or unglazed
surfaces. Unglazed porcelains are usually “through-body” with regard to color, while glazed porcelains are most often glazed over
white- or buff-body material. While unglazed porcelains often have higher slip resistance than glazed porcelains, they can also be
more difficult to clean than the glazed variety. It is important to take this into account when choosing between different porcelain
tiles. There are also many non-porcelain tiles that can be used in environments with extreme freeze/thaw cycles and that are
manufactured with properties similar to porcelain.
Glazed Colored-Body Porcelain
Glazed colored-body porcelain is one of the most recent innovations, combining the best qualities of glazed tiles (reduced
maintenance issues, increased color and design selection) with those of unglazed tiles (body color that more closely approximates
the glazed surface color), making it exceptionally versatile, durable and resistant to wear.

Light traffic - Residential bathroom floors and all interior wall applications.
PEI II
Medium traffic - Residential interior floor areas except entry ways, kitchens,
stairs and pivot points.
PEI III
Medium heavy traffic - All residential and very light commercial floor
applications. Not recommended for commercial entry ways.
PEI IV
PEI V
Heavy traffic - All residential and most commercial floor applications,
including shopping malls and most public areas.
Heavy plus traffic - All residential and all commercial floor applications,
where extra heavy duty wearability is required.
Meets recommended guidelines for Americans with Disabilities Act for
horizontal surfaces
Installation procedures recommended are those indicated in the current Handbook for Ceramic Tile Installation as published by
the Tile Council of America, Inc. Specification references recommended are those established in the American National Standard
Specifications for the installation of ceramic tile, as published by the Tile Council of America, Inc. Due consideration must be taken
with regard to the subsurface, intended use of the tile surface, and exposure to foreign substances such as water, oil, acid, etc.,
when selecting the type of setting material and grout. If in doubt, the manufacturer of these setting materials should be consulted.
Shade Variations
Variations in shade and color are inherent in all fired clay products. This natural quality contributes to the overall visual
characteristic of ceramic tile and should be expected. Blending of tiles from at least six different cartons during installation is
recommended, as shine/finish can differ under certain lighting conditions.
Limits of Liability
Tests are performed on random samples of Interceramic tile by an independent testing laboratory and are believed to be
representative of the general quality of the tile. There is no guarantee by Interceramic that these exact results will be guaranteed
on every tile. Interceramic extends no guarantees, expressed or implied, as to slip resistance, wear-time period, gloss or
maintenance procedures. Test procedures and individual results are available from Interceramic.
ANSI A-137.1
Interceramic tile achieves the necessary values for the ANSI A-137.1-P188 (American National Standards Institute) requirement.
This is the most complete testing done on ceramic tile and includes tests on thickness, facial dimension, warpage, edging, water
absorption, crazing, thermal shock, bonding strength and breaking strength.

Warranty and Product Use Information
CERAMIC TILE
Published test results for Interceramic tile are not guarantees of product performance. All products are subject to variations in
coefficient of friction and other technical specifications due to inherent variables in the production process. Test results on all products
may vary slightly from tile to tile, and from test to test. Skid-resistant tiles are more difficult to clean; additional effort is necessary to
assure contaminants are removed promptly. Since stone is a natural product, it is not possible that every color and marking present
in one piece will be present in another. Many glazed ceramic tile products can also vary in shade, color and finish due to the inherent
differences in the manufacturing process that can occur over time and from lot to lot. In order to insure that our products meet your
individual job requirements, please inspect all stone pieces and tiles prior to installation to determine acceptability. This method will
identify any blending or culling necessary. No claims with respect to shade, color or finish, whether in natural stone or glazed ceramic
tile products, will be allowed after installation. Unless otherwise stated, Interceramic floor and wall tile is recommended for interior
applications only, and is not recommended for use on ceilings or roofs. Check local building codes prior to specification or installation
to verify that the technical characteristics of specified Interceramic tile are compatible with all requirements. Printed color samples are
for reference only and may not be an exact product match. Contact your Interceramic representative for actual product samples prior to
selection, and if you have any questions about Interceramic tile.
In the absence of a demonstrated, post-installation product defect, use constitutes acceptance.
Notice of Warranty
Interceramic guarantees to the original purchaser only that, for a period of one year after the date of purchase, Interceramic will replace
any of its manufactured products that are proven to be defective. In order for this warranty to be valid, the following guidelines must be
met:
1. The original purchaser must notify Interceramic or an authorized representative in writing within 30 days of the occurrence of any
defect.
2. After notification, Interceramic or an authorized representative will inspect and/or test the product for defect and complete a Product
Claim form. No claim will be honored without product inspection by Interceramic or an authorized representative.
3. Upon determination that product defect claim is valid, Interceramic will notify the purchaser in writing. In connection with any valid
claim, Interceramic reserves the right to either repair, replace or refund the purchase price of the originally purchased product.
EXCLUSION OF IMPLIED WARRANTIES AND OTHER WARRANTIES
THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE ARE EXCLUDED FROM THIS
TRANSACTION AND SHALL NOT APPLY TO THE GOODS SOLD. ADDITIONALLY, ALL OTHER WARRANTIES BEYOND THOSE
EXPRESSLY PROVIDED BY THIS DOCUMENT OR REQUIRED BY LAW ARE EXCLUDED.
Glazed floor tile
Routine maintenance of glazed and unglazed floor tile consists of simply sweeping and damp mopping with clean water and a
mild solution of neutral cleaner formulated for glazed tile. Areas exposed to heavy traffic can be cleaned with solution of a
heavy-duty neutral cleaner formulated for glazed tile and may also require scrubbing, depending on the texture of the surface.
It is very important to change the mop water frequently -approximately every 100-500 square feet- depending on how soiled the
surface is. Please contact your sales representative for recommendations on the type of cleaner best suited for your application.
Unglazed floor tile
Unglazed mosaic, porcelain or quarry floor tile should be maintained by dust sweeping and damp mopping with clean water and
a mild solution of neutral cleaner formulated for tile. Areas exposed to heavy traffic can be cleaned with a solution of a heavy-duty
neutral cleaner formulated for tile and may also require scrubbing, depending the texture of the surface.
As an unglazed quarry tile floor ages, a patina forms on the surface which gives it a soft shine and keeps the floor looking fresh
longer.
Glazed wall tile
Routine maintenance of glazed wall tile usually consists of simply wiping with a damp cloth or sponge. The use of a neutral
cleaner formulated for glazed tile is acceptable as long as any residue is removed with a clean water rinse. Countertop
applications will require more frequent cleaning in this same manner depending on the exposure to grease, foods, acids, etc.
Sealing grout joints on countertops is always recommended to prevent staining. Shower applications will require more periodic
cleaning in order to remove soap scum, body oils and hard water deposit buildup. Normally, shower areas may be cleaned by
spraying a mild solution of neutral cleaner formulated for glazed tile, letting it stand for three to five minutes, and then rinsing. If the
tiled area has been neglected for an extended period of time, a solution of a heavy-duty neutral cleaner formulated for glazed tile
is recommended for cleaning.
Sealers
Refer to the manufacturer’s recommendations before sealing unglazed mosaics, porcelain and quarry tile. There is no need to seal
glazed ceramic tile. However, sealing the grout joints is recommended unless an epoxy grout is used. Please contact your sales
representative for recommendations on the type of grout sealer best suited for your installation.
Glass Wall Tile
For maintenance and cleaning, it is recommended to use a soft, clean cloth with warm water or with a non-abrasive cleaner
formulated for use with glass. Do not use any cleaners with abrasive agent as these could scratch the tile surface.
Glass tile should not be installed in floor applications because it can fracture when exposed to extreme weights and is very
susceptible to scratching.
