grew up near the Schoharie River in the Mohawk Valley area of New York. He was both a
Lieutenant and Captiain with the German Flats Militia and later he was a Private in the

Company of Butler's Rangers. Adam settled in Niagara Township between 1780 and 1784.

the son of ADAM YOUNG. Henry was born in the Mohawk Valley, Tyron County, New York in
1762. Like his father, he served as a Private in the 6th Company of Burtler's Rangers and settled
on the Young Tract, Senecca Township, Haldimand County, Ontario. In 1798 he received 200
acres of land at Ancaster Township, Wentworth

New Jersey. Jacob was with the 1st Batallion of the New Jersey Volunteers under Colonel

He settled on 200 acres in Burford Township, Brant County, Upper Canada in 1805. (3

private in Daly's Company with the King's Royal Regiment of New York. Barnabus settled in
Cornwall Township, Stormont County, Ontario. The family stayed in the Cornwall/Osnabruck
area and that is where Julie's father, Carl, was born about 150 years after Barnabus's arrival.
