RECYCLING OF OLD VEHICLES
It is our duty to protect the environment.
Mitsubishi Motors designs and produces high quality vehicles and components
aiming to provide our customers with durable motor vehicles, and excellent
services to maintain your vehicle in an optimum running condition. We have
the highest respect for the environment and use materials which may be
recycled and re-used after your Mitsubishi Motors vehicle has come to the
end of its economical life. After a long working life we will take your vehicle
back and recycle it in an environmentally friendly manner in accordance
with the EU Directive on End-of-Life Vehicles and any applicable national
statutory provisions.
All Mitsubishi Motors vehicles (up to 3.5t GVW) sold after 1st July 2002, will
be taken back free of charge from the last owner, at one of the designated
take back points, provided the vehicle contains all major components and is
free of waste. From 1st January 2007, this applies to all Mitsubishi Motors
vehicles irrespective of the sold date. A network of collection points is
available to receive Mitsubishi Motors End-of-Life Vehicles, to ensure your
vehicle will be recycled in an environmentally friendly manner. At the same
time, the possibilities for the recycling of vehicles and vehicle components are
continually being evaluated and improved, aiming to the achievement of even
higher recycling percentages in the future.
The European End-of-Life Vehicles Directive and the free take back of Endof-Life Vehicles are applicable in all European Union member states. The
transposition of the End-of-Life Vehicles Directive into national law in each
member state might not have been completed at the time of putting this
publication to print.

COMPREHENSIVE WARRANTY – OBVIOUSLY
All new Mitsubishi vehicles come standard with a comprehensive 3-year
warranty or up to a maximum of 100,000 km (61,000 miles), whichever
comes first. The anti-corrosion perforation warranty covers rusting through
for the first 12 years, depending on the model you purchase. The reliability
statistics for Mitsubishi vehicles are impeccable, but in the unlikely event that
you do need help, we offer MAP.
MAP - FREE BREAKDOWN ASSISTANCE
In order to demonstrate our commitment to your
mobility and the faith we have in the reliability of our
vehicles, you will receive a free MAP card valid for
three years with your new Mitsubishi. MAP stands for
Mitsubishi Motors Assistance Package, and with the
MAP card in your pocket, your mobility is guaranteed
in more than 30 countries throughout Europe. Should you ever need
assistance in the event of breakdown, accident, theft or vandalism – wherever
you are, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week – just call the number on your card
and the problem will be fixed on the spot. If it’s more serious, your car will be
taken to the nearest Mitsubishi dealer and you’ll be offered services such as
a hotel, continuation of journey, a replacement car and vehicle repatriation.
And if you continue to have your vehicle serviced at a Mitsubishi Authorised
Service Point after the first three years, your mobility will be guaranteed for an
additional year or up to the next service interval (whichever comes first) until
your vehicle is 10 years old.

High hip point
Driving enjoyment begins with confidence, and confidence comes from control.
ASX begins with wide treads and a long wheelbase for a solid foundation, with
the MacPherson strut front and multi-link rear suspensions to carry you smoothly
over any bumps the road may throw your way. The shock absorbers and
stabilisers have been precision tuned for sporty, comfortable performance,
ensuring superior cornering and sure-footed stability. Add in a direct and smooth
steering feel to better match your movements, and driving ASX becomes an
experience in total command of the road.
Once behind the wheel, you’ll find that even with its aerodynamic form, ASX
gives you a surprisingly elevated seat position. Combined with the sloping
hood design, this provides a better view of the road for easier manoeuvring
and greater safety. The raised hip point also allows for smoother entrances
and exits, and makes even long journeys more comfortable.

The panoramic glass roof adds a new dimension to the drive, allowing you and your passengers to

KEYLESS OPERATION SYSTEM WITH ENGINE SWITCH
ColoUr LCD Multi-information Display
ASX features a Keyless Operation System that allows you to start driving
without ever taking your key from your pocket. To start the ignition, all
you need to do is press the button located near the centre of the dash
panel with the brake depressed and the shift in parking position for AT,
or with the clutch pedal depressed and shift in neutral position for manual
transmission. With one push, the engine starts immediately and you’re
on your way. Once you’ve arrived at your destination, one more push is
all that’s needed to shut the engine off.
The high-contrast meter cluster is attractively
laid out to maximise style and visibility. The silverrimmed meters are illuminated in white for a feel of
luxury, and the full-colour LCD multi-information
display conveniently shows remaining fuel, trip and
total distance, average fuel consumption, outside
temperature, and vehicle status.

cargo space. The 60:40 split rear seat can also be
partially folded down, giving you the room to carry

Active Stability Control (ASC) and traction control
Super Wide RANGE HID headlamps
What you can’t see, can hurt you. To take more of the road out of the shadows, ASX features Super
Wide Range HID (High Intensity Discharge) headlamps. When activated, the headlamp clusters send
out broader beams of light, illuminating a much wider section of the road ahead.
The Active Stability Control system uses onboard sensors to analyse the vehicle’s motion and
identify lateral wheel slippage. By governing engine output and applying braking power to the
appropriate wheels, ASC helps to maintain stability and control.

7-Airbag System
So that you and your passengers can be safer in the event of a collision,
ASX is equipped with a 7-airbag system to provide increased safety to every
seat. The front seat occupants are protected by front airbags, plus an
additional knee airbag for the driver to help protect the legs in a forward
collision. In a side collision, the front occupants are protected by side
airbags and occupants in both rows are protected by curtain airbags
extending along the sides.

Traction Control Function
HSA makes it easy to start off on a steep uphill slope
by preventing the vehicle from rolling backward.
When a gradient is detected, it automatically maintains

When wheel spin is detected, engine output is
governed and braking force is applied to the
spinning wheels to prevent driving torque loss,
for smooth starts and linear acceleration.
