The American iconic boxer, William “Jack” Dempsey (right), is seen in
1934 with a representative from Dodge, Jack Kerns, in front of the Hotel Ellis
in Keene.
Dempsey held the World Heavyweight Championship from 1919 to 1926.
His aggressive style and punching power made him one of the most popular
boxers in history. Notice Kerns raccoon fur coat; this style was popular with
male college-aged students in those days.
