August is here and so are some of the year’s best events to play in! Our
Monday 12-8pm
Men’s Member-Member event will take place August 6-8. Make sure to get
Tuesday - Friday 8am-8pm
a partner and play in this great event! We will have Couples League on
Saturday & Sunday 7am-8pm
August 9 and host the Women’s City event the morning of August 14. Our
Ladies and Men’s League closers will take place on August 19 and 20 and
rounding out the month will be our Men’s and Ladies Club Championships

club check in with the Pro Shop prior

Friday-Sunday
MEN’S MEMBER-MEMBER: 2-man team event. Practice round
with skins game on Thursday. 2-man best ball on Friday with
handicap and a 2-man combined low net on Saturday. Cost is $95
per player and includes cocktail party on Thursday night and lunch
on both Friday and Saturday. Play will start at 1pm on Friday and
8:30am on Saturday.
MEN’S & LADIES CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP: Open to all golf
members. The event will be flighted by handicap and prizes will be
awarded on both gross and net scores. Tee times will be between
1pm and 3pm on Friday and 8:30am shotgun starts on Saturday and
Sunday. Cost is $70 per player and includes lunch on Sunday and
prize money.

indecent behavior is not
appropriate.
COURSE PRACTICE:
Using the golf course as a practice
facility is not permitted. Many SW
members live on the course, but
please use the practice facility
instead of a golf hole as fairways
and greens are not designed to be
used for practice.

Your friend only needs to pay $2000
which goes towards next years
dues. The balance of next years
dues must be paid in full by April 30,
2010. The great advantage is they
can start golfing immediately. And,
should they join by July 31, they will
get the pool free in 2010. (Sports
members are also eligible for this
promotion.)

Pool Hours
Let’s all hope we get a little help
from the weather so we can
continue to enjoy the water and
activities going on at the pool.
We have finished 3 sessions of
lessons and have had
outstanding results from all of our
young swimmers that have
taken part in these this year.
Please look for the session 4 sign
ups as well as our private lesson
availability. On behalf of myself
and the instructors, it has been
an extremely fun time working
with the swimmers as well as the
phenomenal parents that
braved through some not
always nice mornings.
The StoneWater Stingray Swim
Team wrapped up their season
on July 17 at Orchard Hills with
great results at our first
Championship Meet. We had
52 swimmers on our team aging
from 6 to 14. Our team showed
tremendous sportsmanship and
growth throughout the season
which became evident in all of
the improvements the coaches
witnessed day in and day out.
Great Job Stingrays! Please talk
to members that were part of
the team as we look forward to
taking on more swimmers and
having even more success next
year.
