Our Convocation Leaders –
Rev. Tom Tewell
The Rev. Dr. Thomas K. Tewell has been an ordained Presbyterian minister for more than 35 years and has served congregations, small and large,
in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Texas and New York City. Each congregation Tom served experienced significant numerical, spiritual and financial growth and
became deeply involved in ministry to the local community.
Tom has spoken at conferences and in congregations all over America and has taught seminars on preaching, leadership and stewardship at numerous
seminaries and divinity schools.
Since 2008, he has served as Executive Director of Faith Based Ministries for the CF Foundation in Atlanta, Georgia. One of the programs he leads
is the Macedonian Ministries Program, in which a clergy cohort from the same geographical area comes together to form a learning and supportive
community with peers in ministry.
His convocation address theme is: “When Life Doesn’t Turn Out the Way You Planned.” He will speak Thursday afternoon (“Marching Off the Map!”
Text: Philippians 3: 4-14), Thursday evening (“When You Have to Go to Plan B.” Text: Acts 16:6-10) and Friday morning (“Enrolling in God’s PhD. Program.”
Text: Matthew 20:20-28 and Matthew 22: 34-40).
Gina Yeager-Buckley
Gina Yeager-Buckley serves as the Associate for Ministries with Youth for the PCUSA. She is passionate about young people and the people who are
passionate about them. Her workshop - “Reaching the Youth Culture” - addresses perhaps the most significant relationship in youth ministry: the adult
called to accompany a young person in their journey with Christ. Participants in this reflective workshop will explore some of the pictures of healthy
adults in youth ministry, ideas for accompaniment and biblical reflections about Christian leadership.
Adrian McMullen
Adrian McMullen is the Associate for Collegiate Ministries at PCUSA. He has 20 years of experience with youth, college students, young adults and
those who work with them. His workshop focuses on a major challenge in young people’s lives: trading a home for a dorm, a homeroom for a lecture
hall, a sanctuary for…well, maybe nothing.
How can we build a faith in our young people that they will carry with them wherever they go? How can we help them maintain and strengthen
their faith when they are away at school? This workshop will explore this transition time and ways to help young people navigate this period of life
and faith – and hopefully avoid the pitfalls!
We’ll also talk about ideas to keep students feeling like their home church values and is supporting them while also helping them find a new
body of believers to be engaged with.
Rev. Kevin S. Keaton
Rev. Kevin S. Keaton brings 35 years of experience as a pastor and presbytery executive to his service as a Board of Pensions Regional Representative.
Immediately prior to coming to the Board of Pensions, he served as executive presbyter of the Presbytery of Missouri River Valley in Omaha, Nebraska.
Earlier he served churches in Texas and New Jersey. He has served extensively on the Committee on Ministry for the Presbytery of New Covenant.
Rev. Susi Ennis
Being a ruling elder is more than a monthly session meeting, and Rev. Susi Ennis is uniquely qualified to discuss this critical component of local
ministry. She is the pastor of First Presbyterian Church in Poplar, MT. She received her MDiv. from Wesley Theological Seminary in 2008 and was
installed in Poplar in January 2012.
Prior to her call to ministry, Susi spent more than 20 years in the telecommunications industry. While in seminary and during the search process,
Susi worked with a program for special education young adults transitioning from the world of school to work.
In this workshop we will explore Scriptural, spiritual and practical implications of being an effective Ruling Elder.
George Goodrich
Jesus said, “Follow me.” But how do we follow Him today when He lived 2,000 years ago? Paul said, “Copy me as I copy Christ Himself.” But how
do we copy Paul and Jesus in our different time and culture?
What basic principles apply? What can we expect on this journey with Jesus? Christian Discipleship is the high privilege and responsibility of
the Church in every age to make, nurture and send modern-day disciples in our time and place. This workshop will help you help your congregation
develop a disciple-making, -equipping and -sending lifestyle.
George Goodrich, with his wife Kathy, has served as Co-General Presbyter for Yellowstone Presbytery since 2004. In this role he pastors pastors,
resources congregations and serves as administrative officer for the presbytery.

What will new worshipping communities look like?
Glacier Presbytery’s Macedonian Ministry project has been exploring that topic as they work toward starting four new worshipping communities in
the presbytery. Come and explore with them the possibilities and hear how they have developed this new outreach for the presbytery.
