A sense of occasion...
a sense of history
Follow in the footsteps of Kings, Queens, Prime Ministers and
Presidents. One of the most famous ships in the world, on board
Her Majesty The Queen’s former floating Royal residence, you will find
the same high standards today as when The Royal Yacht Britannia
was in Royal service. The Royal Yacht Britannia in Edinburgh will
provide your guests with a truly unforgettable evening.

to the smallest detail. On hand to help you every step
of the way, our team of event specialists will ensure that
your guests enjoy a truly memorable evening. From the
planning of your event to the night itself, you’ll have a

“The experience of dining aboard Britannia
was out of this world”
Be charmed by
her elegance, her history,
her majesty...
Berthed in Edinburgh’s historic port of Leith,
Britannia makes a truly impressive venue for an
evening’s entertainment. Welcomed into the State
Drawing Room, you gather with your fellow guests
for a glass or two of chilled champagne and a
selection of irresistible canapés. You are then invited
into the State Dining Room, where world leaders
and celebrities were entertained, from Frank
Sinatra and Ursula Andress to Presidents
Mandela and Clinton.
A Royal experience
Traditionally used by the Royal Family for cocktail parties
and deck games, the Royal Deck is now a contemporary
space with floor to ceiling glass windows. With spectacular
views across the Forth, it is perfect for everything
from product launches, to dinners and dancing.
The Officers’ Wardroom
The Wardroom is where Britannia’s Officers once dined
and is now the perfect setting for private dining and smaller,
more intimate occasions. Today 8-18 guests can experience a
feast for the senses with a bespoke six-course tasting menu.
When in service, a Wardroom dinner was a grand affair as
Officers dressed in their ‘Red Sea Rig’ comprising a white shirt,
black trousers, patent leather shoes and cummerbund.
For the event of a lifetime
The Queen always had entertainment for her
guests on board and we follow that tradition. Whether
it’s beautiful background music during dinner, or a
magnificent fireworks display, we are here to ensure
your requirements are met. We can even arrange for
The Band of Her Majesty’s Royal Marines to perform
a spectacular Beating Retreat after dinner.
Sailing like a Royal
Imagine sailing around Scotland’s beautiful Western
Isles on a classic 1930s yacht, which was owned by
Her Majesty The Queen and HRH The Duke of Edinburgh
from 1962 to 1969. Guests can enjoy sailing through the
stunning scenery of Scotland’s West Coast, as well as the
hospitality of the Skipper and crew, several of whom are
former HMY BRITANNIA Royal Yachtsmen.
