Race Results & Timing
Downtown Parking
The ConocoPhillips Rodeo Run 10K will use an electronic
timing system that records race time and place via a
transponder chip attached to a runner’s shoe. Runners need
to arrive at the start line at least 45 minutes early to pick up
a chip. Times will not be recorded without a chip.
The non-competitive 5K race will not utilize chip timing
and individual times will not be recorded. Walkers must
finish the course by 11:30 a.m.
Individual timing and race results will be provided via
e-mail to all 10K finishers. The timing chip net time will be
used to score all 10K participants except the overall firstplace male and female winners and the first-place male and
female wheelchair winners.
10K results will be posted via the official race Web site at
Parking is available for a fee at various downtown parking
lots. See our Web site for parking and shuttle bus details.

Houston Rodeo Run Tradition Continues
Runners, walkers, families and friends of all ages are
invited to participate in the 21st annual ConocoPhillips
Rodeo Run on Saturday, March 1, 2008. This tradition,
which raises scholarship funds for Texas youth, will once
again lead the Houston Livestock Show and RodeoTM
(HLSR) Parade past thousands of cheering spectators in
downtown Houston.
Last year, more than 7,100 participants took part in
the Rodeo Run, raising $160,000 for the HLSR
Educational Fund. Since the race began in 1988, the
company has raised more than $1.8 million for the
benefit of the college scholarship fund.
Runners and walkers will experience Houston’s only
point-to-point 10K race and 5K fun run/walk in Houston
in a festive atmosphere that celebrates the city’s
western heritage. A combination of Texas flavor and
hospitality, along with a Texas-sized post-race party,
makes the event one of the most popular and
memorable races in the region.
Participants and families will have the opportunity to
win thousands of dollars worth of giveaways, including
Continental Airlines tickets.
