The work of Matthias Görlich focuses on
the creation and implementation of identity
concepts, the design of exhibitions as
discoursive spaces and the development of
diagrammatic and cartographic visualizations.
The studio works internationally on projects
ranging from small graphic interventions to
large-scale projects across different media.
With research, teaching, and publishing as
integral parts of the studios practice, we try
to develop a broad understanding of the role
of the visual in communication processes.
Through commissioned and self-initiated
projects in the threshold of design and the
social realm we aim to question and redefine
the role of our profession. Our approach is
led by a holistic thinking about organization,
hierarchies and dependencies for making
complex structures accessible.

Seit dem Frühjahr 2014 entsteht bei Spector Books eine Reihe
für neue Literatur mit Formbewusstsein,
Haltung, Witz: Volte
Es beginnt mit einer Verweigerung: „Die Würstchen
der Wahrheit, die für uns
gebraten werden, wollen wir
nicht mehr essen“, so heißt
es in der programmatischen
„Rede zum Unmöglichen
€eater“ von Wolfram Lotz
aus dem Jahr 2010. Seither
hat der 1981 im Schwarzwald geborene Dramatiker
ein üppiges Alternativbuffet
aufgetischt. In seinen
Monologen verteidigt sich
etwa ein somalischer
Diplom-Pirat – „der Einfachheit halber spreche ich
Deutsch mit Ihnen“ –
vor dem Hamburger Landgericht, ein gewisser
€ilo Sarrazin will „den
Anus als eigentliches
Genital“ definieren und
Mutter Lotz sorgt sich um
ihren stotternden Wolfi.

Ausgerechnet. Für die
Autorin und Übersetzerin
in Geldnot ist es ein
Moment der Misere, für alle
anderen ein literarischer
Glücksfall. Denn was in den
In Vorbereitung
Volte#3
Francis Nenik,
Doppelte Biografieführung
In Saisonarbeit geht es um
Empfindlichkeit und das
Politische des Empfindlichen. Es geht um das Buch
als Fluchtort in einem
Warenlager, in dem der
Unterschied zwischen Buch
und Badeente keine Rolle
spielt. Und es geht um
die Arbeit bei Amazon und
darum, dass „mit dieser
Arbeit und vielen Sorten
Arbeit grundsätzlich etwas
faul ist“.
