Automatic restart when AC line recovers
During a power outage, if Lite Ⅱ consumes all of its battery
backup energy and shuts down because of fully discharged
battery, it will automatically restart when the line voltage
recovers and begin charging its batteries again automatically.
Line-interactive design
Line-interactive UPSs supply connected computers and
electronic equipment directly from the AC line. When the AC
line voltage fluctuates, by using its internal transformer, UPS
supplies the connected loads with suitable voltage. When the AC
line cuts off, the UPS supplies loads with power from its battery.
Cold Start feature
Lite Ⅱ has the feature of starting in battery mode even if the AC
power is not available.

Lite Ⅱ provides a simulated sine waveform suitable for

Reliable CPU control
The Lite Ⅱ is equipped with a high speed CPU in order to
accomplish all functions accurate and timely. High speed CPU
manages UPS’s safe operation, overload, high voltage and low
voltage protections. Thus, Lite Ⅱ achieves a unique reliability.
Fast charger to shorten the charging time by 50%
Most UPS systems can fully charge their batteries full capacity
in 8 to 10 hours, but Lite Ⅱ can charge its batteries in 4 hours to
ensure a safe operation in geographic regions where electric
failures are common.
Over load, low-high voltage and short circuit protections
Because of Lite Ⅱ’s many electronic protection features its
useful life is extended. For instance, if you overload your Lite Ⅱ
unintentionally it detects the load automatically and protects
itself by shutting down before any damage has occured. In the
similiar manner, it provides protection against low and high
voltage fluctuations.
USB communication port and software (1000 VA)
You can connect your computer to the Lite Ⅱ via a USB port
using software CD and USB cable, and you can obtain
information on its current status and also program it for its
reaction to a utility power failure.
According to this program, when there is a utility power failure
Lite Ⅱ, based on your choice, first it shuts down your computer
and then itself in a sequential manner.
Automatic voltage regulation (AVR) feature
Thanks to Lite Ⅱ’s wide voltage range transformer, it also
serves as a voltage regulator. If the AC line voltage is too high or
too low, it adjusts the voltage to an proper level and supplies
loads with this voltage.
RJ11/45 protection port (1000 VA)
Lite Ⅱ, has a protection port that protects your data-modem and
telephone lines against power surges.
Charging when UPS is off

REGULINE series regulators are microprocessor controlled, sensitive voltage regulators which monitor utility mains
voltage and maintain the voltage for electronic devices at risk-free tolerance limits of 220V±%10. When mains voltage
goes beyond the tolerance limits of 220V ±%10 then it reduces the voltage if mains voltage is high and vice-versa.
If the mains voltage is very low or very high, in that regulation can not be performed then the output will be disconnected
just in order to protect the connected loads (for instance, in the case of mains voltage raising upto 300V).

Transformerless Structure
Use of transformerless technology results in a significant
reduction in volume and weight of the UPS also improving the
important ratio between power and foot print of the UPS.
Because there is no transformer at the output of the inverter,
the electrical losses of equipment decrease and efficiency
increases. Increased efficiency lowers the cost of consumed
electricity. In addition a transformerless UPS has lower
accoustic noise. DC voltage level of traditional UPS is low, so in
order to generate enough AC voltage at output, it needs a step
up transformer in the inverter. The DC voltage level in
transformerless UPS is already high enough, so there is no
need for a step up transformer to be used.

Parallel operation
Up to 3 units can be connected in parallel without additional
hardware, to accommodate increased power demands as well
as to attain power redundancy with high system integrity. All
UPS ratings in the parallel system must be equal. Each UPS in
the parallel system is controlled independently. Therefore the
unit’s specific values, such as load sharing and mains
synchronization are observed and controlled by each UPS
control system making the necessary corrections.
Access
Considerations should be given for UPS design in several key
areas, including electrical usages, communications, output
compatibility, ratings, reliability etc., without any comprom,
optimizing the UPS for easy maintenance. That is why important
consideration has been given allowing generous access to the
unit’s electronic cards and power components. At the same
time, usage of sub-assembled units in the DC power bus and
control section means less component count and results in less
connection interfaces.
ECO Mode
Eco Mode enables the unit to supply the loads straight from the
AC mains. In case of AC mains failure, the system will supply
the load using battery power. In this way the efficiency is close
to 100%. Eco Mode is used in less demanding applications.

Why modular UPS
The most pronounced advantage of modular UPSs is the fact
that they can exibit higher powers at a smaller space. Maximum
available power must be supplied for critical applications such
as data centers, where the available space for UPS installation
is very limited and costly. Modular UPSs meet this requirement.
Modular UPSs also consume less electrical energy due to their
high operating efficiencies and hence pay off their initial
investment in a short period of time.

For example, 240kVA UPS can be built for a data center by
assembling eight 30kVA UPS modules in a ten-rack capable
cabinet. There will be two racks unoccupied. When the load
increases in the data center, then the capacity of the UPS can be
readily increased up to 300kVA just by adding two 30kVA
modules in the cabinet without paying an extra installation cost.

High input power factor
Power supplies draw from the mains not only active electrical
energy, but also reactive electrical energy. High reactive energy
drawn by power supplies increases power losses and hence the

Low input current harmonics
It is a measure of how much the input current drawn by UPS
from the mains deviates from sinusoidal waveform. THDi stands
for Total Harmonic Distortion in current. With a quality UPS
equipment, it is expected that this value be low. Currents which
are rich in harmonics increase power losses and supply voltage
distortions. Other electrical and electronic devices fed from the
same distorted voltage bus get reverse affected.
MODULTECH UPSs meet the electrical standards with their llow
THDi values less than 3%.

routine. Extended watering intervals (up to 120 days), the
service requirements and operational costs of this range are
reduced to a minimum.
Minimum maintenance - maximum efficiency
If you ask for extended watering intervals to the maximum
MARATHON Aqua is the right choice. Based on the proven and
reliable tubular plate this technology is a further development
of this battery type with extremely low maintenance and
operational costs. For all capacities water refilling intervals can
be extended up to 200 cycles for this range. The new cell
construction, with low height plates results allows an extended
electrolyte reserve. In addition the low antimony alloy in
combination with an optimized charging regime results in a
reduced water loss during charging procedures. All these
specific characteristics are extremly extending the watering
intervals which significantly improves operational profitability.

Yuasa’s unique construction and sealing technique
ensures that no electrolyte leakage should occur from
the terminals or case of any NP battery. This feature
provides for safe and effective operation of NP batteries
in any orientation. Yuasa NP batteries are classified as
“Non-Spillable” and meet all requirements of the
International Air Transport Association, (I.A.T.A.
Dangerous Goods Regulations), to allow transportation by
air. During the life of NP batteries, there is no need to
check their specific gravity or add water etc. Yuasa NP
batteries are equipped with a safe, low pressure venting
system, which is designed to release excess gas and
reseal automatically in the event of the internal gas
pressure rising to an unacceptable level. Yuasa NP series
is suitable for power back up systems.
