Thank you for your support of Crescent Valley High School Football! The players and coaches are excited
about the 2014 season. We are preparing now to compete with some of the best football teams in Oregon
and that means that we must raise money to recondition helmets, purchase needed equipment, jersey’s
and provide support for players whose parents may not be able to afford the player participation fee. We
appreciate the support that the community has given us over the years so that we can continue to provide
a quality experience for our young men.
The last 5 years we have competed in the OSAA play-offs reaching the Semi-finals in 2010 and the quarter
finals the last 2 years. We’ve had good success and continue to build a program where young lives are
impacted by what they learn on and off the football field. Players are in the weight room, attending camps
and coaches are working on schemes. We are preparing! Preparing ourselves to compete against the
best. This year we open our season with two 6A schools, Newberg on September 5th then Wilson High
School the following Friday. This is a great opportunity for our large group of seniors to test themselves
before facing cross town rival, Corvallis High School on September 19 th. We continue to raise funds to use
the best possible equipment, Helmets and replacing jerseys. We’d like to be able to allow the players to
purchase their away jersey at the end of the year but will need help with sponsorship. We also are looking
at long term goals such as enhancing the Crescent Valley High School Weight room and replacing some
field equipment, such as coaches sideline headphones that has worn out after years of use.
The 8th annual CV Raider Football “Scrimmage on the Links” is a fundraiser that directly impacts the
success of the Raider Football program. The success of our event depends on people and businesses that
are willing to support the event through, hole, event & sign sponsorship, in-kind donations, and
participating in the golf tournament. The “for fun” event features a lunch, tee prizes, food and fun
activities on the course, “beat the coach” hole, Senior player introductions and green fees on the private
Corvallis Country Club course.
We invite you to help make the event successful through your donation, or better yet, come to the event
and enjoy the day with friends. This Golf fundraiser will be a great time with community members,
supporters, alumni, and coaches. Please refer to the attached form for golf registration, hole sponsorship,
specific need sponsorship and in-kind donations as well as other information regarding this event.
This year’s event will tee off at 2pm July 11th, lunch & driving range open at 12:30. The Corvallis Country
Club has made the course available for only 36 teams.
