Operation
1) Do not use this board for anything other than its intended purpose - Stand-Up Paddle
Boarding. Using this board in any other manner will void the warranty and may
subject the rider to serious harm. Alaways exercise safe boarding and do NOT attempt
to use product in conditions or maneuvers which are out of your realm of ability.
2) Always be aware of the local conditions including wind, weather, currents and any
other hazards before you go out. Use your Aquaglide® board in an area protected
from the wind and boat traffic, especially when unfamiliar with your abilities and the
capability of this product.
3) Review any applicable rules and restrictions with your local authorities. Always be
aware that the area under your Aquaglide® board may contain sharp or dangerous
objects (i.e. rocks or stumps) or many other unmarked nautical hazards.
4) Keep a safe distance from docks, boats, boat lifts, and any other structures.
5) DO NOT tie the Aquaglide® Waimea to a dock! Docks and pilings frequently contain
sharp elements and/or marine growth that can puncture or damage this product.
6) Use common sense and good judgement when using this product. Many
nautical hazards exist. By piloting this vessel, you are required to be responsible for
your own safety, and the safety of those around you.
Care and Maintenance
1) Minor, abrasions, dents, scratches, and wearing off of graphics are normal and will
not affect the performance of your board.
2) Over time, the color of the graphic may fade due to prolonged sun exposure. This is normal. When not in use store your Aquaglide® board away from direct sunlight.
2) Take your roof rack out of the mesh bag. Lay it out so that you can see
the webbed straps. The shorter gray webbing section wraps around your
board while the longer webbing section goes through the door openings
(Front & Back)
3) Center the roof pad and straps in the middle of roof about 36-48 in.
apart.
4) Open all car doors to allow straps to be fed through the riding compartment and secured with buckles. Make sure the foam protector pads are
in place at the edge of roof and door opening.
5) Lay your Aquaglide SUP board upside down with the fin facing upwards. Make
sure it is centered over roof pads.
6) Take the top strap and lay it over the top of the board then secure it with the
buckle. Feed all loose straps through the buckling system.
CAUTION: DO NOT OVERLOAD THE TIE-DOWN STRAPS. Make certain that the load
is securly fastened before operating vehicle. Inspect clips and straps for damage
before each use.
WARNING: Aquaglide’s Roof Rack System is not suitable for and should not be
used on 2 door vehicles. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK!
*We recommend that you place that you place a thick piece of foam, folded
cardboard, or small towel under the cargo straps before tightening in order to
protect the rails of the board.
North Sports, Inc. #1 North Shore Dr, SE White Salmon, WA 98672
3) Always CARRY your Aquaglide® board and paddle to the body of water you will paddle
in. Do not drag the board or paddle, as this may result in damage.
4) Do not allow your board to be exposed to sunlight or extreme heat for extended
periods of time.
6) Your Aquaglide® board leash is intended to be used around your ankle. This accessory is
used to keep you and your product together incase you fall off your board into the water
or wipeout.
7) Do not wear shoes or sandals while riding your board as this may increase the wearing
off of the graphic deck and will void the warranty.
Storage
1) If you are storing your board for an extended period of time you should rinse the
board with fresh water and towel dry or allow the board to completely air dry before
storing it away.
2) Store the board out of direct sunlight and protected from the environment in a clean,
dry location. NEVER store your Aquaglide® Waimea Board uncovered, in a damp location, or on a concrete surface!
3) When storing your paddle, unclip and dismantle the paddle shaft and allow it to air
dry before putting it away.
