about Jesus and strengthen the body of
Christ.

This season of Easter is a time of new beginnings, too! As
we walk toward the cross this year, let’s practice BELIEVING.
In Greek, that means depending upon, adhering to, relying on,
and trusting in Jesus. It’s often not as easy as it sounds!
Thanks be to God! For though we were dead, at the cross
we came to life for all eternity. We have been given a new
beginning, and the Holy Spirit comes to comfort and teach
us every day of this life.
I “get” the tragedy of Easter—the betrayal and running away
by Jesus’ closest friends. That could be me, and maybe you.
Although the physical pain from the fists, whips, and nails
makes me weep, I’m not sure I have had enough pain in my
mortal body to grasp what that was really like. The glory and
joy and wonder of the resurrection is almost too much for me
to understand. My spirit rejoices and celebrates, but my brain
struggles to take it in.
Thank you, dear partners, for believing with us that God
will use a little TV station near Pittsburgh to reach the
world for Christ. Thank you for listening to God when
He prompted your spirit to contribute. At CTVN we
depend upon, adhere to, rely on, and trust in God with all
of our hearts—and He uses you to tell the world He loves
about Jesus. You are a blessing to us and to the heart of
God. May the joy of Easter fill you again this year.

issiologists believe that up to one
billion people still have not heard the Gospel.
Together, we are narrowing that gap! In one
closed country, your support is enabling the
Gospel to be preached to people who have
never heard of Jesus. In this country, most
do not have access to a television; their
radio broadcasts are limited; computers
are virtually unknown.

Without a doubt, this was the number one question asked during my first few weeks as the
new president here at Cornerstone TeleVision.

Change can be a challenge for all of us! We all want to know what the future holds. But
most of all, we want to be obedient to God’s direction for our lives and to work in His kingdom.
The truth is that even though Cornerstone’s technologies and methods are improving, our
core foundation and beliefs haven’t changed. Christ has been, and will remain, at the center
of every department and every decision made at Cornerstone TeleVision.
“...and this Gospel of the kingdom
will be preached to the whole world....
and then the end shall come!”
Every week, our Hope Connection partners
are making a way for the Gospel to reach
these parts of the world! With your help, our
partners travel into these villages and share the
Gospel. Then, after six months, they return to
check on the growth. Once they find whom the Lord
has raised up in leadership, they bring them into their
home, train them, and then send them back into their
village as a Pastor/Evangelist. Thousands have come

Holy Spirit. That’s what God has started with Cornerstone
TeleVision, and that’s what we pray He will continue to do
through us. I believe we will see the Holy Spirit’s anointing
on the Church and on the gifts of the Spirit at work, along
with supernatural signs and wonders that follow.

I am so pleased to present a new opportunity to partner together in ministry! Of
course, you know that Cornerstone TeleVision was founded on prayer. Over 33 years
ago, seven ladies (six special friends and I) got together to pray CTVN on the air!
• Our heart’s passion is to see the Church rise and
take her position as the light of the world in these
last days.
I am so grateful that God used Russ and Norma Bixler
to establish a television network that is unwavering in its
mission. He placed Oleen Eagle and Ron Hembree as former
presidents to take CTVN in new directions of ministry. For
33 years, Cornerstone has been a rock—keeping Christ at
the center of its message. The difference between CTVN
and other television networks is pure and simple. Cornerstone
TeleVision is committed to the Gospel—purely the Gospel.

Don Black, New President/CEO of Cornerstone TeleVision
Self-Description: A God worshiper and follower of Jesus Christ.
Awed by His love, grace, kindness, forgiveness, and tender mercies.
Roots: Born in Washington, PA; currently residing in Franklin, Tennessee; relocating to Pittsburgh, PA.
Family Life: Has 4 beautiful children (Kelsy, Age 21; Katelynn, Age 19; Donald III, Age 17; Dillon, Age 14)
with his lovely wife, Teri Black. They met in graduate school and have been married for 22 years.
Spiritual Life: Saved watching Billy Graham on television at age 8. God called him into ministry through
media in 1978 at “Jesus 78” in Mercer, PA.
