Cobb-Vantress
Bolidt flooring meets strictest safety requirements
American broiler breeding company
Cobb-Vantress has opened a new
production site in China.
Cobb-Vantress is global market leader in
the development and production of
breeding stock for the broiler industry.
The company, which celebrates its
centenary in 2016 and has customers in
more than 120 countries, markets brand
name chicks including the Cobb500, the
most kept broiler in the world. CobbVantress has breeding farms all over the
world. Last year, the company opened a
new production site in Suizhou, west of
Shanghai. The new complex is CobbVantress’ first location in China and was
developed especially to meet specific
customer demands in Asia. The
production site consists of two import
facilities, two breeding farms and a
parent stock hatchery. A total of about
200 people will be working at the site.
Hygiene and safety
With its new production site, Cobb-Vantress
wants to take the Chinese broiler sector to a
higher level and bring its quality standards to
the Chinese market. In short, this means
supplying animals with the best genetic
make-up that are free from both MS and MG
as well as salmonella. Safety and animal
health were thus given the highest priority in
the design and construction of the
production complex in China. This, together
with a well-trained work force, is considered

vital to consistently delivering top quality
products. The Bolidtop® flooring systems have
a liquid-tight, seamless finish and meet the
strictest HACCP-related safety standards and
requirements set by Cobb-Vantress.
The flooring at the production site plays a
crucial role in achieving a safe and germ free
environment. Just like it did before for other
production locations in countries such as the
Netherlands, Turkey, Saudi Arabia and the
United Kingdom, Cobb-Vantress chose Bolidt
flooring for its Chinese site. In Suizhou, the
Bolidtop® 700 system was installed. This
flooring system meets the strictest
requirements of the poultry industry in terms
of hygiene and safety.
Anti-bacterial surface
The Bolidtop® 700 system has a pore-free
surface. This makes it impossible for bacteria
to settle into the floor. The growth of bacteria
is also prevented, because the system has a
seamless and dirt repellent finish. The Bolidt
floor can be properly cleaned and disinfected
as well, since the Bolidtop® 700 system is
resistant to high pressure cleaning and
chemicals. At the same time, this synthetic
floor finish helps to ensure the safety of the
employees in Suizhou. As the floor maintains
its slip resistant qualities even when wet,
there is no risk of employees slipping during
the production process or when cleaning the
floor. Based on all these product advantages
of the Bolidtop® 700 system, Bolidt has built
an excellent reputation in the poultry industry
as a supplier of top quality flooring systems.
Another advantage: Bolidt works with its
own specialist application teams in order to
guarantee the best possible end result. For
the production complex in Suizhou, Bolidt
also flew over a Dutch application team to
install the Bolidtop® 700 system.
