Located just 20 minutes from Waikiki is a shoreside volcano crater that was breached by the ocean 10,000 years ago.
What is left is a half-moon shaped bay with the some of the best snorkeling in the Hawaiian Islands! Now a protected
marine preserve, Hanauma Bay is home to thousands of tropical fish and rare green sea turtles.
The Contemporary Museum recently gifted its collection and assets to the Honolulu Academy of Arts, merging the two

Take a break from the beach or find refuge on a rainy day and learn about the culture of the islands that we love so
much at the Bernice Pauahi Bishop Museum! Housing one of the largest collections of Native Hawaiian and Pacific
Islander cultural artifacts, historical documents, plant and animal life, and works of art, the Museum consists of four main
buildings connected by enchanting tropical gardens and open walkways. The original Bishop Museum building is filled
with Hawaiian and Polynesian artifacts and offers a glimpse into Hawaii’s past. The Castle Memorial Building houses
national traveling exhibits geared towards children.
Hawaii’s Plantation Village in historic Waipahu is an outdoor museum that showcases the lives and experience of
Hawaii’s plantation workers. Furnished homes and other community structures, Plantation era architecture, along with
antiques and relics display and interpret the history of Hawaii’s multi-ethnic heritage. First opened in 1992, Hawaii’s
Plantation Village displays original structures and replica homes of multi-ethnic groups who came to Hawaii between
the mid 1800s and the 1940s to work as plantation laborers, the museum is situated on a 50-acre site just below the
Oahu Sugar Mill.
Come and enjoy the park-like setting of the 43 acre Honolulu Zoo, located at the base of Diamond Head in beautiful

A National Historic Landmark, Iolani Palace was the residence of the Hawaiian Kingdom’s last two monarchs: King
