2012
he Bellport-Brookhaven Historical
Society invites you to experience a
unique event for the 2012 summer
Season. This year our gala fundraiser, which
takes place on June 16th, will feature an
exhibition on the Bellport photographs of
world famous photographer, Bruce Weber.
Come enjoy this glamorous body of work
done in the 1970s-80s with backgrounds that
will be instantly familiar to you.
On May 27th, our popular annual antiques show
takes over the lawn at the historical society. In the
fall, the BBHS Lecture Series returns with experts
exploring topics such as opera, tap dancing,
jewelry, and social protocol. You can subscribe to
the entire series, or purchase tickets to individual
lectures. We are sure that you will find these
informative lectures engrossing. Finally, next
winter, our Travel Program kicks into gear. This
past winter participants travelled to Cuba with
the BBHS to rave reviews. Next year another
destination of compelling interest is planned.
Unless otherwise noted, all events take place at the
Historical Society, 12 Bell Street, Bellport.
