marks the 50th anniversary of
the National Flag of Canada Day
On behalf of my colleagues on Oshawa City Council, it is my pleasure to
welcome you to Oshawa’s 38th Annual Canada Day Celebration.
Canada Day is an opportunity to celebrate our national pride and
patriotism. We can reflect on our history and remember those who
have provided Canada the fortune of peace, harmony and democracy.
Our cultural, religious and political diversities create a country that
continues to be full of promise and greatness. I continue to be proud
that Canada, with all the opportunities it offers is my home, my
country.
We are fortunate to be able to celebrate Canada Day with family,
friends and neighbours. Thank you to all the
staff and volunteers that help to make our
Canada Day such a great celebration in the
City of Oshawa.
