Professional opinions:
Prof. Joachim Grubich: [...] Dr Jan Bokszczanin is one of my most outstanding alumni (2000)
from the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music, Warsaw. With admiration I watch as his artistic and scientific engagement with great force and extraordinary
results takes him towards the ranks of most esteemed musicians.
This is what he is destined for, firstly because of his excellent education, secondly, his determination
to expand his repertoire by vast but lesser known music, and most of all, because of his diligence.
[...] Finally, I would like to congratulate dr Jan Bokszczanin his wonderful achievements and
express my awe for his accomplishments. [...]
Prof. Jesse E. Eschbach: […] Mr Jan Bokszczanin studied with me organ as a doctoral
performance major at the University of North Texas. During his studies, he worked on important
works from a number of different periods and national schools. He studied early French
music, several important works of J. S. Bach, and contemporary French works as well. I found
Mr. Bokszczanin to be the most informed student academically that I have ever taught. I am
convinced that he has a very bright futere ahead of him. […]
Marian Sawa: […] I was listened to many of his recitals and I confirm He is a very talented
artist, skilled with an excellent manual technique and perfect musical form sensitiveness.
His interpretation can be frankly called comprehendable and do not leave listeners
indifferent.
He possesses a huge ancien music repertoire, as well as romantic and contemporary pieces
(including compositions concerned to be the one sof the most virtuoso pieces within whole
organ repertoire). He perform and record my pieces very often and I have to admit He makes
it perfectly so that I dedicated some of those to him. […]
Prof. Kevin Bowyer about my last CD „Russian Organ Music”: [...] I was able to listen properly
at last. It is a fantastic CD! Wonderful music, expressively played. I’ve never heard the Mushel
Fugue before - what a lovely piece. It all sounds wonderful - the Shostakovich Passacaglia is so
powerful! In case od Gubaidulina it is really terrific performance Jan. You’re really on top of it.
It has tremendous integrity. And the sound is excellent. The organ sounds terrific throughout and
the recorded sound is riveting. All best - and many congratulations!!! [...]
Prof. Lubov Shihskhanova: [...] Not long ago I listened very carefully to your CD and I can
say that you very well understand the music you play. Your interpretations are very clear and
accurate. You have a unique taste and a discerning sense of form in modern organ music [...]
Prof. Stanisław Moryto: [...] Summarizing, I would say that dr Jan Bokszczanin, although
of young age, is a talented artist with a highly interesting personality. His interpretations are
very convincing and do not leave the listener indifferent. As a pedagogue he is very engaged
in his work with students. His artistic achievements are admirable. His tireless searching
for own means of musical expression suggest a strong involvement in the formation of Polish
organ performance art. [...]
Prof. Józef Serafin: […] He is very talented artist, who combines big technical abilities with a lot
of spirit. He is still going to extend his repertoire, including our age, which seems to me, be his
special field. […]
Goverment of the Aland Islands: […] The audience was extremely impressed by Mr Bokszczanin
talent to interpretate the music of the maestros. We would like to reccomend Mr Bokszczanin
to anybody interested in a first class skilful organist! […]
Russell Tieken, Pastor of the ST. Paul Lutheran Church: […] In my 22 years as a parish pastor,
and having served with some excellent organist, I have never witnessed applause for a Prelude
at the opening of a workship service. Jan received such applause from our members as they
recognized a beautiful piece of music skillfully played. […]
