Your contributions and sponsorships will allow Charlotte’s 100 Black Men
Organization to provide much needed college scholarships to youth enrolled
within our mentoring program.

MEN OF THE CLOTH FASHION SHOW

Sponsorship Contribution Levels
Movement Of Youth:
The Movement of Youth (MOY) mentoring and education program
maintains about 50 mentees annually from 7th to 12th grades.
They are encouraged to stay in school with the aim of graduating
from high school and getting a post-secondary education. Saturday
Academies (twice monthly group mentoring sessions) are held at
our partner school, James Martin Middle School. Tutorial sessions,
finance, as well as Black
History, one-on-one mentoring,
the 3.0 Club, the mentormentee basketball game/ food
drive, and scholarship aid are
other elements.
Scholarship Program:
Establishing a scholarship
program was an important goal
when the Charlotte chapter was
founded. The two-tiered
scholarship program offers a
$10,000 college scholarship to those MOY students maintaining
a 3.0 GPA through high school. Assistance of $3,000 is available
to those who maintain a 2.0 GPA. The Malcolm Robinson Memorial
Community Service Scholarship of $500 is open to high school
seniors in Charlotte. Currently 20 young men and women attend
college with financial support provided by the 100. Overall
scholarship awards to date are nearing $250,000.

Registration fees include: Golf, cart fee, driving range, gifts, breakfast, lunch
buffet and awards ceremony. The format is 4-Person Captain’s Choice. First,
second and third place teams will be recognized and awards will be given
for the longest drive, closest-to-pin and hole-in-one.
