Between nearly being killed in the Vietnam,
losing his family in a terrible accident and having his face and vocal chords in a helicopter
explosion, the man known only as Snake-Eyes
has gone through hell during his lifetime and it
also played a part in him being one of the most
dangerous men on the face of this planet.
Following a tour in the Vietnam War, he ended
up going to Japan with Tommy Arashikage (aka
Storm Shadow), whom he had served with. He
became an adopted member of the Arashikage
Clan and learned the way of the ninja. When he
began to advance at an uncanny rate, Tommy
grew to resent him. At the height of the tension, the Blind Master, who was like an uncle
to Snake-Eyes, was killed by Storm Shadow’s
arrow, causing everyone to believe that he did
so out of jealousy. It turned out that the murderer was actually Zartan, who framed him for
the heinous act.
Thanks to the recommendation of Lonzo
Wilkinson (aka Stalker), Snake-Eyes was recruited for the G.I. Joe team, where he has
served ever since, even falling in love with one
of his teammates (Scarlett).
Snake-Eyes is a complicated, introspective man
who still manages to get his point across despite having lost the ability to speak during one
of the team’s earliest missions. Even before he
joined the Arashikage Clan, he was an enigma.
Even though he’s a private man, he is a loyal friend and will go to any extreme to protect
those he cares about.
Signature Assets
“Timber” D8: This wolf befriended Snake-Eyes while the commando lived in his cabin in the High Sierras.
Timber usually stays at the cabin, guarding it ferociously against interlopers, but he has been known to go on
missions with his master from time to time.
Katanas D6: Snake-Eyes has, at all times, at least one of his twin ninja blades on his person. These swords
were made by folding hard and soft metal in upon themselves hundreds and hundreds of times.
Psychic Link D6: Snake-Eyes shares a mental bond with his sword-brother Tommy Arashikage (aka Storm
Shadow), allowing them to sense when the other is in trouble, etc.
