Extern Program
The Student Alumni Council and the SIU Alumni Association, together with the undergraduate colleges at
Southern Illinois University, sponsor the award-winning Extern Program. The Program matches students with
alumni and friends of Southern Illinois University during spring break in March. An externship enhances
students’ college education with a “real world” professional experience while networking with professionals. If
you would like to serve as an extern sponsor, please contact Tuesday Ashner at 618-453-2417.

The St. Louis Chapter of the SIU Alumni Association invites all SIU
alumni, students, families, and friends to the exciting events listed
below.

Saluki Caravan
Caravan Format
The two hour event will begin with a 60 minute open reception and will be
followed by a 30 minute program featuring comments from coaches, select
student athletes, Director of Athletics, and SIU Alumni Association personnel
including chapter representatives.
Appetizers will be served and a cash bar will be available.
