Garden Getaways Part II
Thursday, May 28, 7-8:30pm
A garden holds a season’s best display of nature’s beauty.
If you’ve “traveled” with lecturer Pat Sommerstad before,
you’ve seen ten gardens at their spring and summer-flowering best. This time you’ll visit ten new gardens as well
as revisiting several of those you’ve seen, now in their autumn and winter beauty. You’ll take home comprehensive
information about the 35 public gardens in the immediate
New York area, and discover the best nearby restaurants
and other attractions. BPA601
Sunday, May 31, 10am-12pm
Two trucks will be in our library parking lot to help you
with your paper and e-waste
recycling needs. Quality
Shredding will do on-site
shredding of your personal
documents. They will take
up to three boxes or bags of
paper per family, and you
can watch as your documents
are shred and then recycled.
Please do not bring plastic,
cardboard or hard drives.
KAD Recycling will have a truck to collect your electronics. Data stored on all devices will be destroyed.
While most electronics are accepted, like computers, cell
phones, printers, TVs, and keyboards, not accepted for
recycling are large appliances, microwave ovens, fluorescent bulbs, vacuum cleaners, power tools, paper shredders
or lawn mowers. No sign-up necessary.
