The experience gained in bottle handling has allowed
Lanfranchi to develop a new range of unscrambler
for preforms that represents a change in comparison
with technologies actually applied. High efficiency
during normal working operation and after the
change-over plus reduced overall dimensions made
this machine a new market reference point.

Working cycle
The preforms are introduced in the upper side of the
machine and then uniformly distributed along the perimeter
of the rotating disc in which the sorting pockets are also
installed.
The second generation of high speed preforms
unscrambler/loader from Lanfranchi introduces two
important and innovative operational ideas:
• radial orientation of the preforms;
• pre-loading pockets.
With the introduction of these two solutions the Lanfranchi
preforms unscrambler increases the output in preforms per
hour correctly delivered to the blow mold starwheel infeed.
When a preform reaches the outskirt of the pocket, gravity
makes the preform turn right side up; at a precise position
during the rotation of the disc the preform is extracted and
directed to the inclined rails.
Combining the LRPU unscrambler with the Flex-Clamp
preforms conveyor allows to lower the overall height of the
machine bringing the top components at operator level
without the use of ladder and platform when performing
regular maintenance and changeover operations.
The Lanfranchi LRPU preforms unscrambler is available in
standard and ultraclean executions.
