On behalf of Fulcrum Events Inc. and our title sponsor, Flavours Magazine, we are proud to welcome you to the
11th annual EAT! Vancouver Food + Cooking Festival. As the proud new owners of Canada’s largest consumer
food, beverage and cooking festival, we are pleased to offer you many of the same great features from past years
as well as many exciting new highlights you won’t want to miss!
There is so much to see and do at the show this year. Like the Food Network Celebrity Stage, where you’ll find
your favourite Canadian celebrity chefs cooking up a storm. You’ll definitely want to see what’s cooking in this
kitchen! You can also get a taste of the world at the International Culinary Stage and find out everything you
wanted to know about wine, beer and spirits at the Grapes & Hops Stage.
We promise you won’t leave here hungry. Check out the Bites of Vancouver area where favourite local Vancouver
restaurants will be serving up tapas-style dishes from their menus. From Japanese to Indian cuisine and beyond,
we promise there is something delicious for everyone.
One of the new features we are excited to offer this year is Regal Kidz Kandy Korner! Here the kids will have
so much fun while they participate on stage in gum chewing, bubble blowing, block building, and Tootsie pop
licking competitions!

cake, it’s about enjoying the process.
Celebrity chef Anna Olson is host of Food Network Canada’s Bake with
Anna Olson, following on the heels of the successful series Sugar and
Fresh with Anna Olson, both of which have aired in 40 countries worldwide.
Anna believes in a common-sense approach of cooking and baking with the
seasons and making time in the kitchen for fun.

villages of India, I was hooked.
I love to share this creativity to
brighten up everyone’s meal.
Bal Arneson, host of Food Network’s Spice Goddess, book
author, National Post and Province newspaper columnist,
is a mother, educator and advocate for healthy Indian cooking.
Her series, Spice Goddess, which launched in 2010 on the
US Cooking Channel and Food Network Canada, was nominated
for a 2011 James Beard Award. In 2012, Spice Goddess was
nominated for the lifestyle category by NAMIC Vision Awards.
Bal has appeared as a judge on Iron Chef America.

2013 marks Daenna’s 10th year on the Grapes & Hops Stage and her
ninth as its host. An accredited sommelier, Daenna has travelled to
and written about every major winemaking region in the world and
has been a judge in wine competitions from BC to Italy. Throughout
the weekend she will host a variety of wine seminars. She enjoys
sharing her knowledge with the audience and inspiring new wine
drinkers with a humorous and casual approach.

my abilities and practise my research skills.
