SPRING 2016
Drifting Along With the
Tumbling Tumbleweeds…
Imagine you are driving on a busy freeway and you see
something being thrown from a car into fast moving traffic.
You realize it is a kitten! What do you do?
This is the dilemma one of our adopters faced recently.
Despite the danger of oncoming traffic, she stopped to pick
up the kitten which she described as looking “ like a leaf
rolling down the street”. Somehow, the kitten was only slightly
injured with some scrapes and small cuts and was taken care
of at one of our awesome vet clinics, Campbell Park Animal
Hospital. He was dubbed “ Tumbleweed ”
by volunteers and he recovered nicely,
was vetted and adopted into a home
where he is safe and loved.
His adopter reports “Just purr-fect so far.
He’s a little ball of kitten energy. Loves his
play time and has a very healthy appetite.
We love the little ‘ Tumbleweed ’, but we did
change his official name to Sage.”
This is a pretty extreme and dangerous
rescue but we are so grateful for all of you in the community
who will take an extra step to help a cat in need.

Last spring, I adopted a beautiful Siamese from your
organization. I wanted to send you a few pictures
to show you how well my sweet boy, Bear, is doing.
In all three photos, Bear is with his little sister, Rosie.
He is very patient and always runs to check on her
any time she is meowing. It has taken almost a year,
but will now sit on my husband’s lap for short periods
of time. He has developed a very sweet personality.
I just adore him. Thank you so much for your work.

through Feral Friends’ adoption program.
Bubba, now Barry, is livin’ the good life!
He is doing so wonderful! The perfect
addition to our family! - Holly K
Yeezy (formerly Michael) is the sweetest,
friendliest little guy! I love him so much!
He loves cuddling and he wants to hang
out with everyone! Thank you so much!

Little Chickee (now Osa) is doing marvelously! I think
she might seriously be the sweetest baby ever, ha-ha.
She looooves to cuddle and groom. When I get home
from work she jumps at my leg until I pick her up.
She’s getting along pretty well with our adult cats,
too. They’re all playing more – it’s great! No health
concerns either. - Amanda P
Binnie adapted quickly to our
family and we all love him. He is
enjoying a happy life now.

Everything is great with Tyler!
The introductions went better than
expected. He and Boy are playing
together and Tyler is playing some with
the dogs. No behavioral or health issues.
He sleeps with me at night.
I think this is a success! - Carolann J
Just wanted to send a quick update and
a Thank you for helping me choose the
best kittens ever!!! They are doing great!
I renamed Nick & Nate to Leo and Simba.
Leo is still very shy at times but adjusts in
a short time. Other than that all is good!
- Kris S
Timmy & Farley are both
doing great. They really seem
to love their new space, and
they are getting along well
with my older cat, Britney, who
is nearly 10 yrs old. They love
to play on their new cat tree
house and in the cat tunnels
I have laying around. - Tim C
Nico, formerly Trent, is absolutely the best
kitty, super gentle, playful and tolerant. He
gets along great with our toddler and his
older cat brother. I think he’s happy at home
too – he gets to sleep with us in bed.
