BK Halloween Party 2014
Brings Out The Kid in Each of Us
Halloween is celebrated all over the world
every end of the month of October. This day is
dedicated to remembering the dead. Typical
jolly activity includes trick ‘r treating done by
children going in costumes from house to
house, asking for treats. Halloween is not just
for the kids to enjoy. Bell-Kenz also made it a
point that Halloween can also be enjoyed by
the kids at heart. This season draws the child
in each of us and helps create a motivational,
team work-oriented work culture.
On October 30, 2014, office-based employees
celebrated Halloween the Bell-Kenz way.
Some BK employees brought kids to the office
to celebrate Halloween with us. The HR and
Admin
Department
prepared
different
activities for the kids and the participative
employees.
At the BK Tower Multipurpose Hall decorated
in a way that you can really feel the
Halloween vibes, the kids and the employees
gathered for the Halloween Party. The kids
were dressed up on their chosen Halloween
Costume. Everyone present was delighted to
see the children in their Halloween Costume.
Not only were the kids in costume, even
selected employees portrayed different
characters as their Halloween Costume.
Some of the kids were scared and found

and creatively-done costumes of the
employees.
their version of Elsa from “Frozen” and
Jack Frost from the “Rise of the
Guardians”
respectively,
introduced
themselves. One by one, the kids also
introduced themselves to the group.
Following the getting-to-know part of the
party was a very enjoyable activity for the
children, the trick ‘r treat. The children
went down the office, going from one
department head to the other. The
happiness on each kid’s face cannot be
contained as their buckets were filled with
assorted treats.
Games for the kids then followed. First,
the kids tried to find pictures of scary
Scooby-doo placed under the chairs. This
was called “Scooby Doo, Where are you?”

characters famous to children. Three kids

pictures won a toy gift. Next would be
the Candy Guess Game where the
kids guessed the number of treats
contained in each pumpkin pail and
took it home. The kids were really
excited to guess the right number of
treats inside the pail to get all the
goodies inside it. For the Pumpkin
Hunt, the hosts requested the
participation of the big kids who
wouldn’t be terrified in popping up
balloons. The facilitators hid four (4)
scary pumpkins inside the balloons
and those who found the scary
pumpkins also received toy gifts.
Finally, the kids had the Halloween
Piñata. The Piñata, also filled with
treats, was very difficult to crack
open, but all the kids hurriedly
grabbed all the candies when it was
hit hard and broke down. And the
most exciting part of the program, the
Halloween Costume Contest. Each
kid participant modelled around to
show his/her costume and introduced
themselves and the characters they
were portraying. The winners of the
Halloween Costume Contest for kids
were the Devil Bride (1st Runner up)
and Maleficent from the famous
movie with the same title (Best in
Costume). After the program for the
kids, snacks were given out. You can
really see the happiness of the
children after receiving plenty of
goodies.

BK Halloween Party 2014
Brings Out The Kid in Each of Us
Right after the program for the kids, the
Halloween Program for BK Employees
commenced which started immediately with the
Halloween Costume Contest. Each Department
chose a representative and worked together to
put up the costume. Before the party started, the
representatives drew lots deciding the sequence
of staging their costumes, as follows:
Mark Mascariola from Logistics
as Chaka
MJ Tolentino from Accounting
as Samantha, the Bride Corpse
John Samonte from Sales & Marketing
as King Tutankhamun, Pharoah of Egypt
Nikki Galarpe from IT
as Jason, the Headless Delivery Man
Dayanara Uy from Credit & Collection
as Zombie Girl
Kristel Sordan from Key Accounts Service Dept.
as Lady Vampire
Rita Suelo from SFE & Admin
as Maleficent
Jed Pacaigue from Audit
as Joker
Yjane Mojico from Treasury
as Zombie Black Lady
The venue was filled with laughter and cheers as the employees revealed themselves in their Halloween Characters. They
portrayed various scary characters but the proclaimed winner for the BK Employees’ Halloween Costume Contest is
Maleficent, Ms. Rita Suelo, from SFE and Admin. She received a special prize but all who made efforts, the participants
were also given consolation prizes. After the Costume Contest, games were also prepared for the employees. We had the
fear factor challenge where blindfolded employees tried guessing the item inside the boxes filled with gooey stuff. A
Halloween Piñata was also prepared for them.
The Halloween Party was said to be both scary and merry event of the season. We wanted to thank each and every one for
their active participation in all activities most especially with the BK Employee Halloween Costume Contest. It would not be a
success without their unwavering support to Bell-Kenz Company programs and events.
