A little bit history
GNS = Global Navigation Systems is founded 1998 and is more
or less a spin off from the FH Aachen (University)
The company is founded by Bernd Bierwisch and Peter Skaliks.
In the year 2002, GNS is growing extremly (200 employees)
because of the success of PND´s. GNS is the only company which is
able to deliver very tiny and reliable TMC receiver.
Customer are TOMTOM, Navigon, MyGuide, Falk, Medion ect.....
Today we deliver more then 1kk/a TMC chips and modules.
In the Year 2008 we decided to develope our own GPS modul with an
TI based chip (CC4000). In 2010 we produce also GPS and GNSS
modules based on the newest technology of Mediatek (MTK) and SiRF
Actual we are extremly growing in the GPS field.
In the year 2015 we will deliver roughly 2-3 kk GPS modules world wide.
In June 2015 we anounced the lowest power GPS modul for wearables.
