Wonders Aviation VBS this year.
XMN’s ANNUAL MEETING
SET FOR OCTOBER 15th
AT GRACEWOOD BAPTIST
STARTING AT 3:30
This years’ meeting will follow a
shortened schedule. It will begin
at 3:30 pm with a presentation of
reports along with several recommendations on important items.
Among these items will be the
new AMD search committee report,
announcement of new churches,
building information, officers, budget calendar and next years’ meeting site. We will follow with a break
and then resume for the business
session of the meeting. We will end
by 5:30pm.

Whitehead had never flown and
didn’t like the idea of flying but VBS
Director, Linda Geeslin, asked him
to go on an instructional flight to
promote VBS. After much prayer, he
agreed and the two of them plus
a real pilot, took a trip from Olive
Branch to Collierville. Whitehead
even flew the plane for a short time.
One of the VBS lessons was How
God Calms Our Fears. It was kept
secret, except for the volunteers
that took videos and photos, until
the video was shown to the very surprised members at the VBS Kickoff.
The church broke a VBS record this
year with 125 children enrolled with
an Average attendance of 105.
59 youth and adult workers were
enrolled with an average of 52.

Q & A afternoon sessions.
There is no doubt that we, as ministers, are called to handle the Word
of God with accuracy and passion.
The calling is so high that we can
never have enough training and
sharpening. The good news is there
is an event in our own backyard that
will help us tremendously!
Dr. Steve Lawson, one of the nation’s premier expositors, will be
hosting an Expositor’s Conference at Independent Presbyterian Church in Memphis. The event

Ground Breaking at Bett
Bett Baptist Church had a ground
breaking ceremony August 4 after
the morning services at the church.
Church members watched as Pastor
Alvin Whitehead, Sr, Deacons, Otha
Geeslin, Mike Busby, Red Brassfield,
and Cody Baker broke ground where
the new sanctuary will be built.
