INDYMEGAADOPTION EVENT SPONSORSHIP
2014 Partnership Opportunities
Central Indiana animal shelters and rescue groups are proud to announce that we will
be joining forces to host two Mega Adoption Events in 2014. The mega adoption event
concept centers on agencies combining their resources to host a mega life-saving event
and to increase awareness on the importance of adopting your next pet!
The Indy Mega Adoption Event: An Initiative of the “Love Me, Fix Me” Campaign is being
modeled after similar events held all over the country. Cities comparable in size to
Indianapolis have hosted Mega Adoption events which have resulted in nearly 10,000
attendees and over 1,000 homeless dogs and cats adopted in a single event. We are
honored to have the support of these groups as we work to make Indianapolis a community where no adoptable animal is euthanized.
In order to make this event mega successful and save as many lives as possible we will
need the help of sponsors and supporters like you.
October 11th – 12th, 2014
10:00 a.m.—8:00 p.m.
WHO: We will have at least 750 animals at the fairgrounds and available for adoption for the
weekend. Animals will be coming from several area groups and shelters including but not limited to:
FACE, IACC, Southside Animal Shelter, Humane Society for Hamilton County, Shelby County, Paws
Hancock, Humane Society Johnson County, and Hendricks County Humane Society.
WHAT: All dogs and cats will be adopted for $30, they will be spayed or neutered, microchipped, and
have all age appropriate vaccines.
WHERE: Indiana State Fairgrounds, South Pavilion
WHY: Our city has remarkable rescue groups and shelters doing amazing things each day. Imagine
how much more we could do if we all work together to achieve our common goal. By working
together we will adopt out animals from shelters and rescue groups freeing up spaces so that the
rescues can pull from the high kill shelters and the high kill shelters don’t have to euthanize for time
or space. Together we can make Indianapolis a city where no healthy adoptable animal is
euthanized.
HOW: We will accomplish this by pooling all of our resources and working together to make sure that
each group involved gets the biggest return on their investment, whether it be their time or money.
We are partnering with WRTV, WFMS, NUVO, the Indianapolis Star, WFYI and Clear Channel.
The event also has its own Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram accounts which feeds directly in to the
event website.
We can save even more lives with your support!

Be a part of the biggest pet adopttion event EVER in Indianapolis. We anticipate shelter participation to double for October
over the number of animals brought to the June event.
The June event was publicized and mentioned by all local networks, covered by the Indianapolis Star. All local networks
were on-site to cover the event.
14,000 people attended the 2 day event in June with lines around the South Pavillion building at the State Fairgrounds
before doors opened.
Nearly 700 cats and dogs were adopted in 2 days. All animals were spayed / neuter, vaccinated and microchipped.
Following the event the return rate of animals was just over 2%. The regular return rate from adoptions at shelters is 6-8%.
YOUR COMPANY CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE AND SAVE LIVES.
